TNB Night Owl–Lady Snark Has Failed You

Sorry… On Saturday I caught 2/3 to 3/4 of “Vertigo” and wanted to feature that today. Then I found out yesterday that it was based on a novel. (I really should’ve known that, given Hitchcock usually based his films on novels or short stories.) The novel is D’entre les morts (From Among the Dead) by Boileau-Narcejac, which was the pen name for writing duo Pierre Boileau and Pierre Ayraud, aka Thomas Narcejac.

So I need to purchase and read a copy of the book (there’s an English version available on Amazon) as well as re-watch the complete film.

Anyway, so your assignment–should you choose to accept it–is to reacquaint yourself with “Vertigo” and come prepared to discuss it next week. There will be spoilers in this analysis. And it will probably be long. Just warning you now.

Love you all, and will see you here again next week.
