Today’s something good will always and forever be my very favorite something good – my new granddaughter!
My superhero daughter-in-law had a long and very difficult pregnancy followed by a very long and difficult labor. She went in about 8 am August 14 to be induced, stalled then eventually progressed, pushed for a very long time, and finally had to be rushed into an emergency c section because baby’s vitals were not good.
But, after much ado, Daisy was finally born at 11:05 pm on August 15. She was 7 lbs 13 ounces and 21 inches long. Mama (and Daddy) and Baby are doing well. Exhausted, but happy to have their bundle of joy. Daisy had some jaundice, so they had to stay at the hospital an extra day so she could lounge under some blue lights for a bit.
They went home late last night, finally. And here she is:
We are flying down on Wednesday to spend a week with them and, as you can imagine, we are over the moon.
