From Friday…
On my watch, instead of paying up to $400 a month for insulin, seniors on Medicare only have to pay $35.

I'm doing what’s always worked in our country:
— President Biden (@POTUS) May 10, 2024
Giving people a fair shot. Leaving no one behind. And growing the economy from the middle out and bottom up.
Because when we do that, we all do well.
American Rescue Plan (03/11/2021).
Bipartisan Infrastructure Act (11/15/2021).
Inflation Reduction Act (08/16/2022).
CHIPS and Science Act (08/09/2022).
My dad always used to say that the way you build wealth is by building equity in your home.

My housing plan would help Americans achieve homeownership by giving households $400 a month for two years when they buy their first home. pic.twitter.com/TH0BObFbRM
From the White House…
03/07/2024:
FACT SHEET: President Biden Announces Plan to Lower Housing Costs for Working Families:
- Mortgage Relief Credit. President Biden is calling on Congress to pass a mortgage relief credit that would provide middle-class first-time homebuyers with an annual tax credit of $5,000 [divided by 12 it’s $417 a month] a year for two years. This is the equivalent of reducing the mortgage rate by more than 1.5 percentage points for two years on the median home, and will help more than 3.5 million middle-class families purchase their first home over the next two years. The President’s plan also calls for a new credit to unlock inventory of affordable starter homes, while helping middle-class families move up the housing ladder and empty nesters right size. Many homeowners have lower rates on their mortgages than current rates. This “lock-in” effect makes homeowners more reluctant to sell and give up that low rate, even in circumstances where their current homes no longer fit their household needs. The President is calling on Congress to provide a one-year tax credit of up to $10,000 to middle-class families who sell their starter home, defined as homes below the area median home price in the county, to another owner-occupant. This proposal is estimated to help nearly 3 million families.
From Saturday…
Under my economic agenda, working-age women are employed at a record-high rate. pic.twitter.com/BMFuzvkNZY
— President Biden (@POTUS) May 11, 2024
According to a blog posted in January of 2024 from National Partnership.org., women accounted for 54 percent of the labor force in 2023.
Vice President Harris and I stand with the vast majority of Americans who support a woman’s right to choose.
— President Biden (@POTUS) May 11, 2024
And we’ll continue to fight to protect reproductive rights and call on Congress to restore the protections of Roe v. Wade in federal law.
My Opinion: I repeat that abortion rights–the right to choose isn’t just about being able to have an abortion. It is about medical care for women. States with strict abortion laws are seeing OBGYN’s flee those states and maternity wards in hospitals close as they do not have the doctors to staff them.
The results are less prenatal care; which is bad for both the mother and the baby and will increase the risk of death during child birth for both the mother and the baby.
My housing plan would provide a tax credit that would give Americans $400 a month to put toward their mortgage when they buy their first home or trade up for a little more space.
— President Biden (@POTUS) May 11, 2024
That’s breathing room.

Infrastructure Week was a punchline during the prior Administration.
— President Biden (@POTUS) May 13, 2024
On my watch, we're seeing shovels in the ground, cranes going up, and people hard at work rebuilding America.
We’re not just delivering an Infrastructure Week –
We’re delivering an Infrastructure Decade. pic.twitter.com/GUlDfXT9cN
The fact sheet is very long; I’m just gonna post the opening paragraphs…
Administration releases updated map showcasing 56,000 infrastructure projects and unveils new Investing in America state-by-state fact sheets
When President Biden signed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law in November 2021, he committed to delivering once-in-a-generation investments to rebuild America’s infrastructure and competitiveness. Today, his Administration is cutting ribbons and breaking ground on projects across the country to rebuild our roads and bridges, deliver clean and safe water, tackle legacy pollution, expand access to high-speed internet, and build a clean energy economy for all Americans. While “Infrastructure Week” became an empty punchline during the prior Administration, President Biden is delivering an “Infrastructure Decade” that will benefit communities for generations to come. As this year’s Infrastructure Week kicks off, the Administration celebrates the historic progress of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, which continues to unlock economic opportunity, create good-paying jobs, boost domestic manufacturing, strengthen supply chains, and grow the economy from the middle out and the bottom up.
To date, the Administration has announced nearly $454 billion in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding, including over 56,000 specific projects and awards, across over 4,500 communities in all 50 states, D.C., the territories, and for Tribes. To highlight the wide-ranging impact of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the White House has released an updated map showcasing the more than 56,000 projects and awards that are identified or now underway.
Today, the Administration is also highlighting progress across President Biden’s entire Investing in America agenda — which includes the Inflation Reduction Act, the CHIPS and Science Act, the American Rescue Plan, and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The President’s agenda has driven over $866 billion dollars in private sector manufacturing and clean energy investments in the United States, and the Administration is releasing new state by state fact sheets that spotlight investments and projects in all 50 states, the territories, and Washington DC.
This Infrastructure Week, the Administration also continues to call on Republicans in Congress to extend funding for the Affordable Connectivity Program, a Bipartisan Infrastructure Law program that has lowered internet bills to enable more than 23 million households—1 in 6 households across the country—to access affordable high-speed internet. Without action from Congress, millions of Americans will see their internet bills increase or lose internet access at the end of May.

05/10/2024:
A Proclamation on Mother’s Day, 2024:
Today, we show gratitude to moms and mother-figures for loving their children unconditionally; raising them with care, courage, and grit; and leading by the power of their example.
On my desk in the Oval Office, I have a picture of my mother, Catherine Eugenia “Jean” Finnegan, in Grant Park on the night that President Barack Obama and I won the 2008 election. That night, my mother walked on stage, took my and President Obama’s hands, and said, “Come on honey, it’s going to be okay.” That was my mother — fearless, caring, and ready to lend anyone the bravery that always resided in her heart. She taught my siblings and me that courage was the greatest virtue, instilled in us the belief that everyone is your equal, and inspired us to lead lives defined by honor and integrity.
I have also seen the way that my wife, First Lady Jill Biden, has put her whole heart into being a wonderful mother and grandmother. She brings our family so much joy and is the source of so many of our best memories. She has also guided our family forward through the most difficult times, always finding the strength to hold us together. Every day, she shares her heart with the students she teaches full time and so many others who find inspiration in her leadership, kindness, and wisdom.
Across the country, mothers are raising their children, caring for their families, and making history. Mothers are leaders in every field — from Main Street to Wall Street, they are driving innovation and strengthening our economy. They are the health care heroes, service members, and public servants, who sacrifice so much for all of us. They are the artists, journalists, engineers, and scientists creating new possibilities. They serve at the highest levels of my Administration, working hard to open the doors of opportunity wider for the next generation.
Moms do so much for all of us, and my Administration has their backs. During the pandemic, I signed the American Rescue Plan, which helped keep the doors open for 225,000 child care providers so families could go to work while their children were cared for. At the same time, we expanded the Child Tax Credit, giving moms and families some breathing room — which helped slash child poverty rates in half during my first year in office. My Administration is also making sure that the good-paying jobs from our once-in-a-generation investments in infrastructure and clean energy go to women, who have been underrepresented in these sectors for too long. I also signed legislation to ensure employers make reasonable accommodations for pregnant and nursing mothers, who deserve to have job security and common-sense workplace protections — such as breaks to drink water, eat, rest, or use the restroom. These protections help ensure that pregnant workers and new moms do not have to choose between their job and their health.
My Administration is working to make sure that mothers have access to the health care they need. With the leadership of Vice President Kamala Harris, we released a Blueprint for Addressing the Maternal Health Crisis, which outlines actions the Federal Government will take to combat maternal mortality and improve maternal health. Further, the American Rescue Plan also gave States the option to provide a full year of postpartum coverage to women on Medicaid, increasing it from just 60 days previously. Now, 46 States, Washington, D.C., and the United States Virgin Islands provide a full year of this critical care.
This Mother’s Day, may we all show gratitude to our mothers, who are our rocks, believing in us so that we may believe in ourselves. May we pray for those who have lost their mothers and miss their comfort each day and for the mothers who have lost a child — a piece of their soul. May we wholeheartedly support the countless mothers across the country who work tirelessly to make the American Dream real for their children and families.
The Congress, by joint resolution approved May 8, 1914 (38 Stat. 770), has designated the second Sunday in May each year as “Mother’s Day” and requested the President to call for its appropriate observance.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 12, 2024, as Mother’s Day. I urge all Americans to express their love, respect, and gratitude to mothers everywhere. I call upon all citizens to observe this day with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this tenth day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-four, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-eighth.
A Proclamation on Mother’s Day, 2024. 05/10/2024.
Our moms – Catherine Finnegan Biden, Bonny Jacobs, Dr. Shyamala Gopalan, and Barbara Emhoff – have been there at our highest points and our lowest moments, lifting us up when we need it most.⁰ ⁰Today, we wanted to share a piece of wisdom they imparted on each of us. pic.twitter.com/E3hxsZEEa4
