Francis Scott Key Bridge Tweet
From Monday…
Eight weeks since the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, the Dali has been cleared from the channel, a mark of progress and a promise kept.
— President Biden (@POTUS) May 20, 2024
It took the grit of workers and officials coming together to get this done.
That's Baltimore Strong. pic.twitter.com/C5cubEN4uw
The Dali Cargo Ship that collapsed the Francis Scott Key Bridge was refloated on Tuesday.
CBS News YouTube:
Maryland Governor Wes Moore said yesterday:
We have refloated and moved the Dali – achieving in weeks what many thought would take months. But our work isn’t done. We must continue to clear the full 700 foot federal channel, support the workers, businesses, and families affected by the collapse, and rebuild the Key Bridge. pic.twitter.com/GNTogYrA4D

Today the Governor said:
Exactly eight weeks ago today, we gathered here, at MDTA Headquarters.
— Governor Wes Moore (@GovWesMoore) May 21, 2024
We came together to stand up our response to the Key Bridge Collapse.
We all experienced one of the worst tragedies our state has seen in recent memory.
People said it would take months to get to this point;
— Governor Wes Moore (@GovWesMoore) May 21, 2024
We did it in a matter of weeks.
And I want to give special acknowledgements to @POTUS. Thank you for being with us every step of the way.
— Governor Wes Moore (@GovWesMoore) May 21, 2024
I also want to thank @RepSamGraves. His committee held a hearing last week on the Key Bridge Response.
We've heard from both Democrats and Republicans about their support for rebuilding the Key Bridge with a 100% federal cost share.
— Governor Wes Moore (@GovWesMoore) May 21, 2024
Bipartisan momentum and cooperation is not a talking point to us – it is something that is an achievable and hard-earned destination.

Morehouse College 2024 Spring Commencement Tweet
From Monday…
Scripture says, “The prayers of a righteous man availeth much.”
— President Biden (@POTUS) May 20, 2024
A righteous man.
A good man.
A Morehouse man. pic.twitter.com/qXpVU2octX

Whether you’re young or old, I know what endures: The strength and wisdom of faith endures. And I hope — my hope for you is — my challenge to you is that you still keep the faith so long as you can.
That cap on your head proves you’ve earned your crown. The question is now, 25 years from now, 50 years from now, when you’re asked to stand and address the next generation of Morehouse men, what will you say you did with that power you’ve earned? What will you say you’ve done for your family, for your community, your country when it mattered most?
Class of 2024, four years ago, it felt probably like Saturday. Four years later, you made it to Sunday, to commencement, to the beginning. And with faith and determination, you can push the sun above the horizon once more. You can reveal a light hope — and that’s not — I’m not kidding — for yourself and for your nation.
“The prayers of a righteous man availeth much.” A righteous man. A good man. A Morehouse man.
God bless you all. We’re expecting a lot from you.
