Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment. In addition, this was a very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds. IT’S NOT LEGAL! Apparently, this is an old right-wing weird claim that was fact-checked by Fact Check.org on 10/31/2024:

The claim was shared to X on Oct. 26, where it was viewed more than 1 million times, according to the platform. The post reads, in part, “BREAKING: It is being reported that Beyonce got paid $10 MILLION for her speech last night.” A screenshot of the post was also shared on Threads.

A similar claim was made on X on Oct. 26: “Beyonce was paid $10 million for her 2 minute speech at Kamala’s rally last night. $5 million dollars per minute.”

Beyoncé actually spoke for around four minutes at the Houston rally, and there’s no evidence she was paid for it.

The claim was also shared on Threads in a post that referenced Elon Musk’s America PAC giving away $1 million to registered voters in swing states. The post said, “So Elon can’t pay someone for signing a petition, but Kamala can pay someone 10 million dollars to try and influence voters?”

It is, however, legal for a campaign to pay for endorsements, provided that the expenditures are publicly disclosed. But we found no evidence to suggest that Beyoncé was paid anything for her endorsement, and a Harris campaign official told us in an email the social media claim “is not true.”

The Harris campaign, through Oct. 16, lists only one endorsement-related expenditure — for $75 — in its Federal Election Commission financial reports. That payment was made to the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund, a pro-environment political action committee, in June 2023, when President Joe Biden was still running for reelection.

This is an incredibly useless thing to post so late at night. Trump is irked at Bruce Springsteen talking about how much he dislikes him on tour, so he goes on an unhinged rant calling for a Justice Department investigation that would do nothing for anyone, especially not anyone who actually needs help. It’s rich to read a man who is making shady billion-dollar crypto deals and who just accepted a luxury jumbo jet from the Qatari government speak about what is “CORRUPT & UNLAWFUL.”

For what it’s worth, the Harris campaign did come under scrutiny for making some large checks to the production companies of Oprah Winfrey and Beyoncé, especially after she was defeated so resoundingly. The Harris campaign paid $165,000 to Beyoncé’s Parkwood Production Media LLC on November 19, and $1 million to Oprah’s Harpo Productions.

Walmart announced the other day they had “no choice” but to raise prices because of tariffs. Nobody, should be shocked by this.

A couple of things here; first, he is saying that Walmart not China pays the tariffs. Second, he’s also attempting to bully Walmart into eating the tariffs so his economic plan succeeds.

Let me explain something y’all know.

Tariffs are by designed used to prevent the “consumer” for consuming whatever that item is that has a tariff.

I saw a tweet the other day, talking about how the Dow Jones has almost recovered from it’s early months losses. I didn’t save the tweet, I didn’t even reply to it. But let’s review how come the Dow Jones improved.

I mean come on, for the party of “common sense” they sure as hell can’t common sense their way out being in a cult.

When the tariffs were at 145 percent it caused our trading with China to almost end completely. That’s not good news. That causes supply chain issues, that causes small businesses to suffer, and it caused dock workers to not work.

When it was announced that he was putting a 90-day pause on the 145 percent tariff and keeping us at a 30 percent tariff on imports and China would pay a 10 percent tariff on exports from the US., the market reacted in a more positive way.

Speaking of the tariffs, our cosplay press barbie once again lied to the public. I know, I’m just as shocked as y’all are…

Moody’s lowered the rating from a gold-standard Aaa to Aa1 but said the United States “retains exceptional credit strengths such as the size, resilience and dynamism of its economy and the role of the U.S. dollar as global reserve currency.’’

Moody’s is the last of the three major rating agencies to lower the federal government’s credit. Standard & Poor’s downgraded federal debt in 2011 and Fitch Ratings followed in 2023.

In a statement, Moody’s said: “We expect federal deficits to widen, reaching nearly 9% of (the U.S. economy) by 2035, up from 6.4% in 2024, driven mainly by increased interest payments on debt, rising entitlement spending, and relatively low revenue generation.’’

The 4 that voted present are the 4 House Freedumb Caucus members that voted no on the bill on Friday.

They allowed the package to move forward by voting “present,” enabling the panel to report out the bill on a 17-16, party-line vote.

The rules committee is the next step for the bill that is really called The One, Big, Beautiful Bill.

The Rules Committee will reportedly meet at 1 am on Wednesday.

In GA, a woman is being kept alive after having been declared brain dead over 90 days ago. The reason, isn’t because the family is failing to let go, it’s because the woman had a massive stroke while being 9 weeks pregnant and because of GA’s., hearbeat law. The hospital according to her family has said, they are legally obligated to keep her alive as her life is no longer in danger from the pregnancy.

A GA AG spokesperson said the law isn’t to blame.

As Fox 5 explains regarding the GA law:

Georgia’s heartbeat law, formally known as the Living Infants Fairness and Equality (LIFE) Act, is a state law that significantly restricts abortion access by banning most abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected—typically around six weeks of pregnancy. The law allows limited exceptions, including if the pregnancy is determined to be medically futile; if the mother’s life is in danger’ and in cases of rape or incest, but only if a police report has been filed. 

Because the law includes a fetal personhood clause, which gives legal recognition to unborn children after a heartbeat is detected, this can limit medical decision-making in situations involving severely ill or brain-dead pregnant women, even if the prognosis for the fetus is poor.

Georgia’s heartbeat law was initially adopted in 2019, but wasn’t enforced until Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022. It is one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the country.
