Well, today’s the day I hit a brick wall in providing content.
It has been awhile since I last trashed an article just before post time.
over 4 years now, can you believe, we’ve been a site since April of 2018?
I can’t.
So this morning, Lenny shared via DM’s an interesting article…

A California judge fined two law firms $31,000 after discovering that they’d included AI slop in a legal brief — the latest instance in a growing tide of avoidable legal drama wrought by lawyers using generative AI to do their work without any due diligence.
As The Verge reported this week, the court filing in question was a brief for a civil lawsuit against the insurance giant State Farm. After its submission, a review of the brief found that it contained “bogus AI-generated research” that led to the inclusion of “numerous false, inaccurate, and misleading legal citations and quotations,” as judge Michael Wilner wrote in a scathing ruling.
Futurism.
This is the heart of the story:
After the brief was submitted, a judicial review found that a staggering nine out of 27 legal citations included in the filing “were incorrect in some way,” and “at least two of the authorities cited do not exist.” Milner also found that quotes “attributed to the cited judicial opinions were phony and did not accurately represent those materials.”
As for his decision to levy the hefty fines, Milner said the egregiousness of the failures, coupled with how compelling the AI’s made-up responses were, necessitated “strong deterrence.”
Futurism.
From my POV:
When I used AI to build the duet list, I had to make sure the list was accurate; it told me AC/DC was a duet, when it’s a band. And even though I vetted the list and corrected the AI, it still included Love Shack by the B-52’s. I kept it cause I love the song, and while not a duet two people sing most of the song.
AI can be great, but like Wikipedia, it can’t be the only source for information.
On Twitter, it’s Grok, people are fact-checking opinion tweets to find fact.
It’s a tool, for sure, use it, but ffs, fact-check the information; don’t blindly state as fact something some bot told you.

New US House resolution introduced by Rep Warren Davidson (R-OH) would “direct the Director of the National Institutes of Health to conduct or support research to advance the understanding of Trump Derangement Syndrome, and for other purposes” pic.twitter.com/ct57V480eC

As of 05/21/2025 text has not been received for H.R.3432 – To direct the Director of the National Institutes of Health to conduct or support research to advance the understanding of Trump Derangement Syndrome, and for other purposes.
The Government Publishing Office (GPO) makes the text of legislative measures available to the public and the Library of Congress. GPO makes the text available as soon as possible, but delays can occur when there are many or very large legislative measures for GPO to prepare and print at the same time.
H.R.3432. Introduced 05/15/2025.
I know people do this shit all the time, but can we just agree this is a waste of the paper it was printed on? Even digital paper. The fact that a representative from either party decided this was worthy of being introduced to our government is wild. Cancer research funding is being hindered, but Health and Human services should expand resources to find out why people have TDS, something made up to mock people trying to hold accountable the sitting fucking President?
Miss me with that shit you are against waste, if even this type of shit gets a pass; because we know it will never go anywhere…
Here are the things I ditched…
Yeah, I know, but I found a path.
NEW: Gabbard aide asked intel analysts to redo and re think a key assessment. from @maggieNYT @charlie_savage and myself. https://t.co/5P3CXMQ68R

Normally, here is where I’d post the information included; which I had done, in the post now in the bin.
However, I realized that I was simply copying too much of their content and not providing an easier understanding of what they are saying.
In short, with this follow up from yesterday…

It appears that the admin in the hopes of making Nazi Miller’s wet dreams come true, they wanted an assessment that fit their facts, not facts to use in their assessment.
The heart of the issue: In his Proclamation invoking the use of the Alien Enemies Act, the admin justifies this by saying the current Venezuela government is directing gang members to enter the US and crime.
Tren de Aragua (TdA) is a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization with thousands of members, many of whom have unlawfully infiltrated the United States and are conducting irregular warfare and undertaking hostile actions against the United States. TdA operates in conjunction with Cártel de los Soles, the Nicolas Maduro regime-sponsored, narco-terrorism enterprise based in Venezuela, and commits brutal crimes, including murders, kidnappings, extortions, and human, drug, and weapons trafficking. TdA has engaged in and continues to engage in mass illegal migration to the United States to further its objectives of harming United States citizens, undermining public safety, and supporting the Maduro regime’s goal of destabilizing democratic nations in the Americas, including the United States.
Invocation of the Alien Enemies Act Regarding the Invasion of The United States by Tren De Aragua. 03/15/2025.
So, they wanted the assessment to match their assumptions or at the very least blame the Biden administration for allowing tons of foreign government directed and funded gang members to roam the streets of America.
Both articles are worth the read. I encourage you to read everything I share, don’t just take my word for things.

Our fearful leader is having a normal one…
Trump loses it at Peter Alexander: "What are you talking about? You oughta get out of here … you're a terrible reporter. You don't have what it takes to be a reporter. You're not smart enough … Brian Roberts and the people that run that place they ought to be investigated." pic.twitter.com/0lB2V6sZQC

Everyone that pushes him into reality “ought to be investigated”.
