As I’ve said finding a lane for this article has been super hard.

For now, I’ve decided we don’t need lanes. It will continue to be random, and I will attempt to cover important things.

Yesterday, a man take a makeshift flamethrower to a group of people marching in Colorado. They were marching for the release of Israeli hostages still being held by Hamas.

This morning…

A man shouted “free Palestine” and used a “makeshift flamethrower” during an attack yesterday afternoon in downtown Boulder, Colorado, that left at least eight people injured, officials said.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said on its daily booking sheet that Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, of El Paso County, Colorado, could be charged with two counts of first-degree murder — one with “extreme indifference” and one listed as “deliberation with intent — nonfamily — gun.” Soliman could also be charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of first-degree assault, one count of causing serious injury to an at-risk adult or someone over 70 and one count of using explosives or incendiary devices.

Soliman is an Egyptian national with no prior significant contact with law enforcement, and he does not belong to a specific group, two senior law enforcement officials told NBC News.

The attack happened during a weekly demonstration to support awareness for Israeli hostages still held in Gaza, officials said. Four men and four women ranging in age from 52 to 88 years old were injured, a Boulder Police spokesperson said. Earlier Sunday, officials said one person was in critical condition.

The above is a link to CNN’s live updates thread;

The Boulder Police dept., sent out a tweet about an hour ago that confirms there have been no deaths reported. They also included a mugshot of the suspect.

The terror attack follows the murders of two Israeli Embassy staffers outside the Capital Jewish Museum in D.C., on May 21st, 2025. The suspect also shouted “free Palestine.”

I have a note to add…

There is now a huge twitter debate raging, not over the injuries of the people that were just marching peaceful nor the murders of two young people set to start married life together before they were shot and killed.

Nope.

The big debate is about the suspect in yesterday’s terror attack is illegal and it’s Biden’s fault that he attacked those people.

Asylum claims are legal paths. As CNN says in the screen grab I shared; the man’s work permit expired just this past March.

I really wasn’t going to mention any of this stuff, because it doesn’t change what he did, what he is guilty of. It doesn’t matter, a legal citizen, like the man that murdered the Jewish couple, or a non-citizen. The crime and terror is the problem.

Both men, decided to harm others not responsible for any of the grievances they say they have and in the process have damaged groups that are truly protesting peacefully against Israel.

Violence is not acceptable, the legal status of the person that committed the violence, doesn’t make that violence less bad or more bad.

It’s bad, it’s wrong, and they should go to prison for their crimes.

P.S.

As Ty in comments rightly pointed out, I forgot to include the fire that was started in PA. Governor Josh Shapiro residents back in April.

Show more =’s The Harrisburg Bureau of Fire was on the scene and while they worked to put out the fire, we were evacuated from the Residence safely by Pennsylvania State Police and assisted by Capitol Police. Thank God no one was injured and the fire was extinguished. Every day, we stand with the law enforcement and first responders who run towards danger to protect our communities. Last night, they did so for our family – and Lori and I are eternally grateful to them for keeping us safe. @PAStatePolice is on the scene leading this investigation and will keep the public updated.

New York Times (04/16/2025–gift link):

The man charged with setting fire to the Pennsylvania governor’s mansion staged the attack because he believed Gov. Josh Shapiro’s stance on the war in Gaza was leading to the deaths of Palestinians, according to a police search warrant made public on Wednesday.

After the attack on the governor’s residence in Harrisburg, Pa., the suspect, Cody A. Balmer, identified himself on a 911 call and said that Mr. Shapiro, who is Jewish, “needs to know that he ‘will not take part in his plans for what he wants to do to the Palestinian people,’” according to the search warrant.

“Balmer continues saying he needs to stop having my friends killed, and ‘our people have been put through too much by that monster,’” an apparent reference to Mr. Shapiro, though it was not spelled out in the warrant.

Mr. Balmer, who had been treated for mental illness and was facing a separate charge of having assaulted his family in an earlier case, said at the end of the call: “You know where to find me. I’m not hiding and I will confess to everything that I’ve done.”
