Let’s just start with the obvious: it’s Propaganda Thursday — the unofficial holiday where the messaging’s tight, the facts are optional, and the delusion comes pre-packaged with a press release.

Propaganda Thursday started on Wednesday…

The attacks on the media continued this morning.

This morning, Pete Hegseth—dressed like Secretary of Defense for what we can only assume was a government-themed episode of Fox & Friends—held a press briefing. In between professionally kissing President Ego’s ass and throwing shade at a former Fox colleague, he delivered the real message: “Daddy is Big Mad,” and you should be too, or else.

Speaking of unhinged propaganda…

The official propaganda account just dropped an unhinged 1:06 video calling President Redhat “Daddy”… because apparently nothing screams strength like being thirst-posted by your own comms department.

Continuing the theme of ‘Propaganda Thursday,’ the Propaganda House rolls out the heavy artillery to bulldoze the last stubborn holdouts into swallowing the ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act’—because who needs democracy when you can just stage a scripted infomercial?

Axios says: President Trump on Thursday will hold an event at the White House to pressure GOP holdouts to get behind his “big, beautiful bill” ahead of his July 4 deadline. Why it matters: The event will highlight Trump’s proposals for increased border security funding and making tips, overtime pay and Social Security tax-free — daring Republicans to vote against popular positions from his campaign.

AP News reported this morning that the terrible bill has suffered another set-back.

The Senate parliamentarian has advised that a key Medicaid provider tax overhaul that is central to President Donald Trump’s big tax cut and spending bill does not adhere to procedural rules, delivering a crucial blow to Republicans rushing to finish the massive package this week.

The guidance Thursday from the parliamentarian is rarely ignored, and it forces GOP leaders to consider options. Senate leaders could try to revise it or strip it from the package. Otherwise, the provision could be challenged during floor votes, requiring a 60-vote threshold to keep it, a tall order in the narrowly split 100-member Senate. Democrats are unified against the Republican president’s bill.

We will wrap this “Propaganda Thursday” with this…

Justice Roberts announced that tomorrow would be the last day decision day.

ChatGPT has been a lot of fun. I’m running into a paywall issue that I hate, but they want 20 bucks a month for some features to work. I’m gonna look into other “free” AI’s…
