In yesterday’s Coffee Talk, I dropped a few clips from President Fake-Ass Tough Guy’s presser — basically a live-action dumpster fire with bonus smoke damage and a side of “what did I just watch?” I said I’d fact-check it, but let’s be real. Ain’t nobody got time to chase every lie or every “story” as fake as he says the “news” is. It’s the same reheated garbage we’ve heard a thousand times before, just louder, blusterier, and with zero shame.
Oh, and get this: he said twice that he’s meeting Putin “in Russia.” Bold move, considering the meet-up’s actually in Alaska. Geography has never been his forte, so someone please hand him a map, a Sharpie, and permission to draw giant arrows—make him feel like a boss.
But hey, don’t think I’m not gonna roll a clip or two from yesterday — mostly so we can savor the fresh dumpster fire today alongside yesterday’s still-smoldering trash heap.
During yesterday’s Q&A, President TACO got grilled about whether he’d extend those tariffs on China for another 90 days or just jump straight to the infamous 145% he casually dropped back in April. Enter President Math Challenged, because apparently, anything past single digits sends him straight into snack-and-nap mode, complete with a Sharpie doodle session for good measure. Then came the classic non-answer: “we will see.” Translation? “I’m winging this, but hey, let’s act like it’s all part of the master plan.”

This morning, the BLS dropped the CPI report like it’s hot—spoiler alert: inflation rose again. The core inflation number—the Fed’s sacred crystal ball for deciding when to jack up or chill interest rates—clocked in at a spicy 3.1%. Meanwhile, President Needs an Economic For Dummies (complete with cartoon capitalism diagrams, no less) predictably threw a tantrum and went full keyboard warrior on Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. Shocking, right?

On the bright side, at least he finally remembered he appointed Powell… today. Not like weeks ago when he was blaming Joe Biden like a broken record. But hey, no worries! President No I Don’t Take Responsibility has already lined up a fresh scapegoat for the Powell nomination mess. Classic.

This record would be insufficient to earn a job as a junior staffer at BLS.
I want to send a colossal, flaming fuck you to every single media outlet that swore up and down that President Lying Liar That Lies was totally clueless about Project 2025 and had zero ties to those shady characters. Sure, maybe he was too busy binge-watching cable news to know the details — fine. But Nazi-fucking-Miller knew, Russ Vought knew, hell, we all knew. Yet somehow the media just waved it off like a bad smell, pretending it wouldn’t turn America into a dystopian circus run by Nazis. Spoiler alert: it totally will.
