Second Feature: Green Acres: S2 E12 – A Square Is Not Round

Everything is topsy-turvy and henhouse hijinks ensue when one of Oliver and Lisa’s chickens is found to be laying square eggs! News of this kind gets around quickly, and the townsfolk all get in on the race to capitalize on the impressive novelty. In particular, Mr. Haney tries to purchase back the hens he originally sold to the Douglases. When that doesn’t work, he offers the services of his Chicken Watching business. But Oliver, knowing that square eggs would revolutionize the egg industry, is more interested in doing business with Mr. Moody, a local entrepreneur. Moody makes a competitive offer. For $1000, he will take the Douglas’ entire brood to experiment with breeding more square egg-laying hens. Meanwhile, Lisa is upset that Oliver is selling “her ladies.” But Lisa doesn’t have to worry long…it seems her chickens are smarter than they seem!
