Day 5 of “My Top 31 Soundtrack Movie Countdown” takes us back to Rydell High with the T-Birds, the Pink Ladies, a Cool Rider, and an actual song-and-dance number in a bowling alley.
Sure, the original is the classic — but Grease 2 came in hot with Score Tonight, Cool Rider, and Reproduction, which is somehow both ridiculous and unforgettable. Michelle Pfeiffer is magnetic, the music leans into the early ’60s, and if you grew up with it? You know the words to every single track.
It’s messy, campy, totally extra — and yes, that’s exactly why it made the list.
I’ll be linking to each soundtrack’s Wikipedia page if you want to dig deeper, rediscover the track listings, or argue with your own memory of what played during that prom scene.
And don’t worry — this won’t be the last time we visit movie soundtracks. 🎶
