TNB Night Owl: My Top 31 Soundtrack Movie Countdown!

Day 7 finds us roaming around the fraternity of Delta Tau Chi as they shout “TOGA TOGA,” look for someone named “Hey Paula,” and twist the night away — all while Dean Wormer has (unknowingly to them) placed them on “Double Secret Probation.” But never fear — while some of the gags fail to meet the moment, all is well in the end.

The Animal House soundtrack is a rollicking mix of rock, blues, and R&B that perfectly captures the film’s wild spirit. From the raucous chants of “Shout” to the soulful grooves of “Twistin’ the Night Away” and the catchy “Hey Paula,” the music fuels every outrageous party and prank. It’s a soundtrack that’s as much a character in the film as the Deltas themselves, keeping the energy high and the good times rolling.

I’ll be linking to each soundtrack’s Wikipedia page if you want to dig deeper, rediscover the track listings, or argue with your own memory of what played during that prom scene.

And don’t worry — this won’t be the last time we visit movie soundtracks. 🎶
