Fascistic Ideation…

Fascist ideation is an ideology characterized by extreme nationalism, authoritarianism, and a rejection of individual rights in favor of the state. It combines elements of radical nationalism with reactionary and conservative views, creating a cult of personality around a charismatic leader and promoting a national identity through militarism and the suppression of dissent. Fascism frequently identifies a scapegoat or enemy to unify the public and often includes elements like corporatism, a disdain for liberal democracy, and the use of violence and propaganda to maintain power.

Extreme Nationalism Gone Wild …

Extreme nationalism: Prioritizes the nation or race above all else, often based on a perceived history of decline or victimhood.

Authoritarianism Gone Wild

Authoritarianism: Demands absolute loyalty to a single leader and a single ruling party, suppressing all political opposition and individual freedoms.

“The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth.”

Control of mass media: Fascist governments attempt to control the mass media to promote their ideology and control the public narrative.

Suppression of dissent and individual rights: Fascist regimes reject liberal democracy and individual rights, and dissent is not tolerated. This is often achieved through censorship, secret police, and a focus on crime and punishment.

Rejection of liberal democracy: Views democracy as weak and ineffective, favoring a system where the state’s interests guide the economy and society.

States using the Trump administration’s overhauled citizenship verification system to find noncitizens on the voter rolls may be mistakenly flagging eligible voters at an alarming rate, a Texas county election administrator revealed in a federal court filing Wednesday night.

Christopher Davis, the voter registration director in Travis County, Texas, said in a statement included in a legal filing that “about twenty-five percent of the non-citizen matches” flagged for the county by state election administrators after it ran the state voter rolls through the federal database were designated as having registered at a Department of Public Safety (DPS) — the state agency that issues drivers licenses.

Texas voters registering at DPS locations are required to show proof of citizenship.“

“It is my understanding that other counties have experienced this same issue with the lists sent to them by the Secretary of State,” Davis stated, adding that Travis County was still “carefully researching” the citizenship status of everyone on the list sent by Texas.”

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) quietly formalized sweeping changes to a federal immigration database Friday, turning it into a national “voter verification” tool that appears to sidestep federal privacy protections and will make it easier to remove large numbers of voters from the rolls.

A Systems of Records Notice (SORN), published by DHS in the Federal Register in its final form Friday, redefines how the department and state officials can use the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) database — a program originally created to check the immigration status of noncitizens applying for public benefits.

The change adds voter registration and verification to SAVE’s official purpose, vastly expanding who and what data can be entered and searched. It allows DHS to share the data with the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Department of Justice (DOJ), which under Trump has embarked on a sweeping effort to pressure states to tighten voting rules and remove voters from the rolls.

And for the first time, DHS explicitly adds natural-born U.S. citizens to the system’s scope, allowing verification through Social Security numbers, passports and, soon, driver’s licenses.

Militarism Gone Wild

Militarism: Glorifies military power and the use of violence, often presented as a tool for national renewal and “redemption”.

Pentagon readying thousands of Guard ‘reaction forces’ as U.S. mission widens

The Pentagon has ordered thousands of specialized National Guard personnel to complete civil unrest mission training over the next several months, an indication that the Trump administration’s effort to send uniformed military forces into urban centers — once reserved for extraordinary emergencies — could become the norm.

The Defense Department’s newly established “quick reaction force” within the National Guard must be trained, equipped with riot-control gear and ready for deployment by Jan. 1, according to internal documents reviewed by The Washington Post. The 200 troops will be drawn from National Guard personnel whose primary focus is responding to disasters like nuclear accidents and terrorist attacks, the documents said.

An existing separate but similar structure, the National Guard Reaction Force, is expected to complete civil unrest training and be fully operational by April 1. The total size of the force will be 23,500 troops across all 50 states and three territories, excluding the District of Columbia, the documents say. Most states will supply 500 personnel for the reaction force, with the rest falling between 250 and 450. Those forces are typically used for emergencies like disaster relief, not on call troops for civil unrest.

Corporatism: Regulates the economy by supporting businesses that align with the state’s goals, while suppressing labor and suppressing dissent.
