The drone strike, the details of which have not been previously reported, targeted a remote dock on the Venezuelan coast that the US government believed was being used by the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua to store drugs and move them onto boats for onward shipping, the sources said. This is the attack Trump has been alluding to in recent days. No one was present at the facility at the time it was struck, so there were no casualties, according to the sources. SOF provided intelligence support to the operation, sources said, underscoring their continued involvement in the region.

President Attention Seeker randomly called John Catsimatidis’ cell phone the day after Christmas while Catsimatidis was guest-hosting Sid and Friends in the Morning, where he alluded to a drone strike inside Venezuelan territory.
President Attention Seeker (3:15): And we just knocked out I don’t know if you read or you saw where they have a big plant or big facility where they send the you know where the ships come from. Uh two nights ago we knocked that out. So we hit them very hard.
Monday ahead of his meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister, President Attention Seeker was asked for details on the facility taken out by the US.
Reporter: On Venezuela, was the facility taken by the US military or the CIA?

Trump: I don’t want to say that. I know who exactly who it was but I don’t want to say who it was. pic.twitter.com/5S1kDGdkW2
Q: Can I follow up on Venezuela? Was the facility taken out by the U.S. military, or was it another entity like the CIA?
President Attention Seeker: Well, I don’t want to say that I know exactly who it was, but I don’t want to say who it was, but you know it was along the shore.

First Tweet Text:
A recent video by conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley alleged nearly a dozen day care centers in Minnesota that are receiving public funds are not actually providing any service. After the video went viral, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced a “massive investigation on childcare and other rampant fraud” in the state.
CBS News conducted its own analysis of nearly a dozen day care centers mentioned by Shirley: all but two have active licenses, according to state records, and all active locations were visited by state regulators within the last six months. CBS News’ review also found dozens of citations related to safety, cleanliness, equipment, and staff training, among other violations, but there was no recorded evidence of fraud.

CBS News article (12/30/2025):
As Homeland Security agents were in Minnesota conducting what DHS Secretary Kristi Noem called a “massive investigation on childcare and other rampant fraud” on Monday, many of their targets came not from tips from the FBI, but from a video posted on social media over the weekend.
The video, posted by conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley, alleged nearly a dozen day care centers in Minnesota that are receiving public funds are not actually providing any service. As of Monday, the video had been viewed more than 1 million times, according to YouTube’s metrics, and was seen by tens of millions more on X.
“While we have questions about some of the methods used in the video, we do take the concerns that the video raises about fraud very seriously,” said Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families commissioner Tikki Brown.
In addition to the DHS investigations, state officials also visited some of the sites on Monday. They told CBS News two of the centers featured in the video already shut down earlier this year, although one of those centers informed the state late Monday that it plans to remain open.
CBS News conducted its own analysis of nearly a dozen day care centers mentioned by Shirley: all but two have active licenses, according to state records, and all active locations were visited by state regulators within the last six months. One, Sweet Angel Child Care, Inc., was subject to an unannounced inspection as recently as Dec. 4.

Local reporting on Nick Shirley:
Our story about @nickshirleyy's viral video. Two of the daycares in his video are closed; one closed long ago, the other (now-infamous ABC Lear(n)ing Center) last week. State regulators say they made visits to all of the others today, and have not yet found problems that warrant…

Shirley’s YouTube channel has amassed more than 1 million followers. He was one of several influencers who were invited to the White House in October to participate in an “antifa roundtable” — a discussion about left-wing groups and the anti-fascist movement — with President Donald Trump.
He previously faced criticism for a video he filmed in Kyiv, Ukraine, where he falsely implied that American tax dollars were used to buy luxury cars and install a Ferris wheel in the city.
When another journalist questioned him about the video, Shirley responded that he was “making satire on the internet.”
Shirley, 23, also filmed content at the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol. He interviewed a man who participated in the riot and took a piece of mail from then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office. “That’s from Nancy Pelosi’s desk!” Shirley repeated as he spoke to Richard “Bigo” Barnett. “Bigo’s here! The man’s a savage.”
Shirley’s media company is based in Utah, records show. He did not respond to requests for comment.

In the wake of the indictment, Chen lost her work visa and was forced to leave the country. She also vanished from social media. It seemed unlikely she would return to the United States anytime soon.
But this holiday season, Chen and her husband were back in Nashville, where she lived while running Tenet. She broke the news herself, by announcing on Instagram and X on Christmas Day that she could now return to the United States, and specifically thanking the State Department’s Joe Rittenhouse, a senior adviser on consular affairs and former Trump presidential campaign worker, for his help.
“The biggest thank you to Joe Rittenhouse at the State Department for moving mountains to ensure we were able to return in time for the holidays!” Chen wrote on Instagram.
Chen also thanked Customs and Border Patrol, the FBI, and “the administration” broadly.
“Also the utmost gratitude to CBP, the new leadership at the FBI, and the administration for their help making this possible, and for everything they do to keep America safe,” she wrote.
Rittenhouse himself confirmed the administration’s effort to help Tenet Media’s founders return to America in a post on X, wishing Chen a “merry Christmas.”
“This Christmas I’m so happy to help correct the wrongs of the past administration,” he wrote. “Being able to bring Lauren and her family back for Christmas would not be possible without new Leadership at the Whitehouse, FBI, CBP, and State Department.”
Rittenhouse does appear to be a fan of right-wing media. In August, he posted a picture with his feet up on a desk in what appeared to be a government office building, watching a video from right-wing British YouTuber “Sargon of Akkad.”
