President Meeting is holding a policy meeting this afternoon in the Oval Office. At this time, there is no information on which policy issues will be discussed or who is expected to attend.

Venezuela

On Saturday, many of us woke up to reports that President Agent of Chaos had ordered his minions to pursue the kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, with the goal of bringing them to the United States to face charges tied to an indictment that reportedly includes machine-gun offenses.

PDF Pg. 22 of the indictment.

That same Saturday, after phoning into Fox & Friends to boast about the operation, President Agent of Chaos took the victory lap further, stepping in front of cameras for a press conference. What followed was less a briefing and more an extension of the bragging session, now upgraded with a podium and a national audience.

Who’s running Venezuela?

President:

We’re going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper, and judicious transition. So we don’t want to be involved with, uh, having somebody else get in and we have the same situation that we had for the last long period of years. So we are going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper, and judicious transition.

During the Q&A session of the presser President Agent of Chaos was pressed on who would be running the country.

President:

Well, we’re gonna be running it with a group, and we’re gonna make sure it’s run properly. We’re gonna rebuild the oil infrastructure, which will cost billions of dollars. It’ll be paid for by the oil companies directly. Uh, they will, uh, be reimbursed for what they’re doing. But, uh, that’s gonna be paid.

And we’re gonna get the oil flowing the way it should be. As you know, it was just a minor flow. It was actually a minor flow for what they have. Uh, but we’re gonna run it properly, and we’re gonna make sure the people of Venezuela are taken care of.

Does this include US troops on the ground?
Narrator: Yes.

President:

Well, you know, they always say boots on the ground. Oh, so we’re not afraid of boots on the ground if we have to have. We had boots on the ground last night at a very high level, actually. We’re not afraid of it. We don’t mind saying it, but, uh, we’re gonna make sure that that country is run properly. We’re not doing this in vain. This is not, this is a very dangerous attack. This is an attack that could have gone very, very badly, could have gone very badly. We could have lost a lot of people last night. We could have lost a lot of, uh, dignity. We could have lost a lot of equipment. The equipment is less important, but, uh, we could have lost a lot, and we’re going to make sure that this is proper.

State Department Secretary Marco “I’ve got no soul” Rubio made the rounds on the Sunday’s show to defend this action by the US.

Yeah, it’s real shocking that the American people and media, would be fixating on the fact the sitting US President said “we’re running” Venezuela.

Asked under what legal authority will the US run Venezuela.

Asked again if he’s running the country.

In case it needs spelled out in none of the clips did Rubio answer the question as to who was running Venezuela.

Returning from Mar-a-Lardo President Trump held a press gaggle with his fans, Senator Lindsey Graham and Commerce Secretary Howard “Nutlick” Lutnick.

Where he had no problem saying the US is running Venezuela.

He also used the gaggle to threaten.

Colombia.

Iran.

Mexico.

Greenland.

Cuba.

Flash News

Between the hours of 12:45 am and 1:40 President Social Media Whore’s account posted by count 88 or 89 posts.

Every one is the same type of post just covers different and varying subjects.

His account would post a video.

His account would then post a screen grab of words over that video he posted.

The screen grab was taken from this tweet:

And that’s pretty much how all the posts go. Someone took the time to find positive posts to confirm the President’s posts 88 to 89 times in just under an hour.

His first post following the howling during the midnight hour:

Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz has dropped his reelection bid.

His full statement:

There is reporting that Senator of Minnesota Amy Klobuchar might run for the governor seat.

New York Times (gift link–01/05/2026):

Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota said on Monday that he was abandoning his bid for re-election to a third term, and Senator Amy Klobuchar, a fellow Democrat, is considering seeking the office, two people briefed on conversations between the two politicians said.

Mr. Walz and Ms. Klobuchar met on Sunday in Minnesota, where he informed her of his plans and she confirmed her interest in running to succeed him. For Mr. Walz, the Democratic nominee for vice president in the 2024 election, the departure caps a brief rise in national politics.

New York Times (gift link–01/05/2026)

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegshit has announced his intent to censure Senator Mark Kelly for reminding the military they are legally obligated to not follow unlawful orders.

Six weeks ago, Senator Mark Kelly — and five other members of Congress — released a reckless and seditious video that was clearly intended to undermine good order and military discipline. As a retired Navy Captain who is still receiving a military pension, Captain Kelly knows he is still accountable to military justice. And the Department of War — and the American people — expect justice.

Therefore, in response to Senator Mark Kelly’s seditious statements — and his pattern of reckless misconduct — the Department of War is taking administrative action against Captain Mark E. Kelly, USN (Ret). The department has initiated retirement grade determination proceedings under 10 U.S.C. § 1370(f), with reduction in his retired grade resulting in a corresponding reduction in retired pay.

To ensure this action, the Secretary of War has also issued a formal Letter of Censure, which outlines the totality of Captain (for now) Kelly’s reckless misconduct. This Censure is a necessary process step, and will be placed in Captain Kelly’s official and permanent military personnel file.

Captain Kelly has been provided notice of the basis for this action and has thirty days to submit a response. The retirement grade determination process directed by Secretary Hegseth will be completed within forty five days.

Captain Kelly’s status as a sitting United States Senator does not exempt him from accountability, and further violations could result in further action.

These actions are based on Captain Kelly’s public statements from June through December 2025 in which he characterized lawful military operations as illegal and counseled members of the Armed Forces to refuse lawful orders. This conduct was seditious in nature and violated Articles 133 and 134 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, to which Captain Kelly remains subject as a retired officer receiving pay.

It’s the tweet. 01/05/2026.

Senator Kelly responded.

Over twenty-five years in the U.S. Navy, thirty-nine combat missions, and four missions to space, I risked my life for this country and to defend our Constitution – including the First Amendment rights of every American to speak out. I never expected that the President of the United States and the Secretary of Defense would attack me for doing exactly that.

My rank and retirement are things that I earned through my service and sacrifice for this country. I got shot at. I missed holidays and birthdays. I commanded a space shuttle mission while my wife Gabby recovered from a gunshot wound to the head– all while proudly wearing the American flag on my shoulder. Generations of servicemembers have made these same patriotic sacrifices for this country, earning the respect, appreciation, and rank they deserve.

Pete Hegseth wants to send the message to every single retired servicemember that if they say something he or Donald Trump doesn’t like, they will come after them the same way. It’s outrageous and it is wrong. There is nothing more un-American than that.

If Pete Hegseth, the most unqualified Secretary of Defense in our country’s history, thinks he can intimidate me with a censure or threats to demote me or prosecute me, he still doesn’t get it. I will fight this with everything I’ve got — not for myself, but to send a message back that Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump don’t get to decide what Americans in this country get to say about their government.

It’s the tweet. 01/05/2026.

I feel shitty still. So the owl is up in the air.
