It’s Friday.
President Shitshow’s public schedule for…

That’s it. That’s the whole explanation.
No details. No topics. No text.
Just a vague promise that he’ll be handed a stack of paper and a Sharpie like it’s arts and crafts time for authoritarians.
If recent history holds, we’ll magically learn what those orders are about five minutes before I hit publish, and “closed to the press” will suddenly turn into “sure, come on in” once the cameras are useful.
Though that little routine might get messy today. He’ll probably be asked about his latest late-night meme sharing spree. We’ll get to that circus in a bit. First, let’s catch up on yesterday’s news.
Yesterday’s News, With Today Lurking in the Background
TrumpRx.gov was launched yesterday, with the White House pushing today how “life changing” it is.
LIFE-CHANGING HEALTHCARE INITIATIVE 🇺🇸 No more choosing between bills & health. TrumpRx dramatically cuts costs on fertility treatments & essential medications.

The GOP is closer to getting the SAVE Act passed.

Republicans are moving quickly to pass a bill requiring voters to show proof of citizenship both to register and at the polls ahead of the 2026 midterm elections — a move that experts warn could disenfranchise millions of Americans.
Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), the sponsor of the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act, said in a social media video Thursday night that House leadership would bring the proposal up for a vote next week.
[snip]
The bill would require documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote, as well as requiring photographic identification that proves citizenship to cast a ballot.
[snip]
Only states with ‘enhanced’ driver licenses — Michigan, New York, Vermont, Minnesota and Washington — satisfy the SAVE America Act’s heightened requirements — a REAL ID (used in most states) won’t cut it.
The strict ID rules could keep millions of already-registered Americans who don’t have that documentation on hand from casting ballots. According to a Brennan Center for Justice analysis, around 21 million Americans could be disenfranchised. Half of Americans lack a passport, and millions more don’t have ready access to birth certificates to prove citizenship. The bill could also kick millions of married women who took their husband’s last name off the rolls.

You and I both spent 2020 drowning in election misinformation and reading way more state websites than any normal human ever should.
Here’s the part people keep pretending not to know: every state requires proof of eligibility to register to vote. Even states with automatic voter registration still require proof of citizenship.
You can verify this yourself on your state’s Secretary of State website. Click the “Elections” or “Voter Information” tab. It’s all spelled out.
The rules vary slightly by state, but the standard is the same everywhere. Non-citizens cannot legally vote in state or federal elections.
A handful of cities allow non-citizens to vote in limited local races like city council or school board contests. That does not extend to any other elections.
American shocked a president with racist immigration policies is in fact a racist.
In a late night posting spree the Racist shared a dumb 1 minute video that pushed a conspiracy theory that 4G chips were embedded in voting machines–twice!
Both posts were posted at 11:44 PM D.C., time:
First without words.

Then they used someone else’s words and the same video.

The racism shows up right at the end.
In a blink-and-you-miss-it frame, Barack and Michelle Obama are depicted as primates. Apes, monkeys, whatever flavor of dehumanization they went with.
It’s not clever. It’s not ambiguous. It’s a decades-old racist trope.
President Trump posted a video featuring the Obamas as monkeys on Truth Social.

It was called out within minutes across social media.
Even two Republicans, one Senator and one House member, gently suggested their very online leader might want to remove the racist mess.
Praying it was fake because it’s the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House. The President should remove it. https://t.co/gADoM13ssZ

The President’s post is wrong and incredibly offensive — whether intentional or a mistake — and should be deleted immediately with an apology offered.

The snip of the video came from this guy…

The poster goes on to say…

Propaganda Barbie defended the post.
Here’s what the White House says about the racist depiction of the Obamas in a video that the president posted last night: pic.twitter.com/FTnpSj5bok

Two things:
Thing 1: The only part of the meme that pops up in the video is the racist thing.
Thing 2: The post has now been removed and it’s posting is being blamed on a staffer.
UPDATE: Racist video of Obamas removed from Trump social account

This is all the article says about it’s removal “A White House official blamed a staffer for erroneously posting the video.”
The post stayed up for roughly 12 hours.
And to be clear, the only part of the video he shared was the racist part. Not policy. Not news. Just an old, well-worn Jim Crow–era trope.
If this is a staffer being allowed to late-night post from a mix of presidential and personal accounts, then who is it? Who has access? Who’s hitting “share” at 2 a.m.?
During his first term, only two people publicly claimed control of the account: Dan Scavino Jr. and Trump himself.
This time? No one seems to know who’s posting what, or why Propaganda Barbie keeps getting tossed under the Trump Train every few days.
