It’s Thursday…
President Shitshow’s public schedule for…

Turns out I wasn’t wrong about what happened. I was just wrong about when it happened.
Yesterday’s event had me thinking the administration was already moving to repeal the Obama-era greenhouse gas rules. Nope. That’s today’s project.
Yesterday was actually something else entirely: an order directing the Department of Defense to buy power from coal plants, part of a push to prop up the coal industry.
The Fact-Sheet (02/11/2026):
STRENGTHENING NATIONAL DEFENSE WITH RELIABLE COAL POWER:
Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order directing the Department of War to prioritize long-term Power Purchase Agreements with America’s beautiful, clean coal fleet to ensure military installations and critical defense facilities have uninterrupted, on-demand baseload power.
The Fact-Sheet (02/11/2026).
- The Order directs the Secretary of War, in coordination with the Secretary of Energy, to approve long-term Power Purchase Agreements or similar contracts with coal-fired energy production facilities to serve Department of War installations and other mission-critical facilities.
- Priority will be given to projects that enhance grid reliability and blackout prevention, on-site fuel security, and mission assurance for defense and intelligence capabilities.
ENSURING A RESILIENT GRID:
President Trump is committed to strengthening the electric grid and believes that beautiful, clean coal plays a critical role in ensuring reliable energy, national security, and economic stability.
The Fact-Sheet (02/11/2026).
- Baseload power and a reliable grid are vital to powering military installations, operations, defense-industrial production, and ensuring the safety of the American people; any prolonged disruption threatens operational readiness and national security.
- It is imperative that the Department of War strategically utilize America’s vast coal resources that have proven reliability in providing continuous, on-demand baseload power.
- Intermittent sources like wind and solar are unreliable in extreme weather, leaving the grid and our defense installations that rely on them vulnerable to interruptions in power.
MAKING AMERICA ENERGY DOMINANT:
President Trump believes it is vital for America to be energy dominant and energy secure.
The Fact-Sheet (02/11/2026).
- On the campaign trail, President Trump warned, “you have a grid system in this country that’s obsolete and a disaster,” underscoring his urgency to act.
- On Day One, President Trump declared a National Energy Emergency to ensure that the Administration can bring all available authorities to bear to improve the integrity of our Nation’s electrical grid.
- He is revitalizing America’s beautiful clean coal industry in order to provide Americans with access to reliable, affordable power and support the thousands of American jobs that depend on the industry.
- In April 2025, President Trump signed a series of Executive Orders to designate coal as a mineral, lift barriers to coal mining on Federal lands, and grant regulatory relief from burdensome Biden-era restrictions on certain coal-fired power plants.
- President Trump’s actions have stopped the closure of 17 gigawatts of coal power and resulted in new investments and build of affordable, baseload power generation across the country.
- President Trump is cutting red tape and rolling back regulations that hinder coal, oil, and natural gas production.
- Last summer, the Administration renewed the charter for the National Coal Council (NCC)—a Federal Advisory Committee terminated during the Biden Administration—and convened its first meeting just last month.
The Executive Order can be found here.
The Energy Department said (02/11/2026):
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today announced $175 million in funding for six projects to modernize, retrofit, and extend the useful life of coal-fired power plants that serve rural and remote communities across the United States, keeping dependable energy sources online, strengthening grid reliability, and helping keep electricity costs low for American families and businesses.
The projects are part of the Department’s $525 million effort to expand and reinvigorate America’s coal fleet through targeted upgrades that increase efficiency, extend plant life, and add dependable capacity using infrastructure that is already built and connected to the grid. Modernizing existing plants provides one of the fastest and most cost-effective ways to deliver reliable power while preserving high-wage energy jobs, particularly across Appalachian communities that have long powered the nation.
“For years, previous administrations targeted America’s coal industry and the workers who power our country, forcing the premature closure of reliable plants, and driving up electricity costs,” said U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright. “President Trump has ended the war on American coal and is restoring common-sense energy policy. These investments will keep America’s coal plants operating, keep costs low for Americans, and ensure we have the reliable power needed to keep the lights on and power our future.”
These actions advance President Trump’s Executive Orders Reinvigorating America’s Beautiful Clean Coal Industry and Strengthening the Reliability and Security of the United States Electric Grid to restore common-sense energy policies that prioritize dependable power, affordability, and American workers.
As electricity demand continues to grow, dependable, around-the-clock generation remains essential to maintaining a reliable and affordable power system. By upgrading existing coal facilities, DOE is strengthening the backbone of America’s power grid and ensuring communities have access to secure, reliable energy when they need it most.
Selected projects include the following:
The Energy Department said (02/11/2026).
- Appalachian Power Company (Letart and Winfield, West Virginia) will upgrade two coal-fired plants in West Virginia: the Mountaineer Power Plant in Letart and the John E. Amos Power Plant in Winfield.
- Buckeye Power Inc. (Brilliant, Ohio) will perform a comprehensive suite of upgrades targeting critical systems at its Cardinal Plant coal-fired Units 1 and 2.
- Duke Energy Carolinas LLC (Sauratown Township, North Carolina) will upgrade two coal-fired units at the Belews Creek Steam Station.
- Kentucky Utilities Corporation (Ghent, Kentucky) will increase the annual capacity factor of Unit 2 of the coal-fired Ghent Generating Station.
- Monongahela Power Company (Maidsville, West Virginia) will upgrade the Fort Martin Power Station, which consists of two coal-fired generating units.
- Ohio Valley Electric Corporation (Cheshire, Ohio) will upgrade all five coal-fired generating units at the Kyger Creek Station.
View a detailed list of the selected projects. DOE plans to make additional selections under the Broad Agency Announcement’s remaining Topic Area at a later date.
The Energy Department said (02/11/2026).
Timing aside, one detail was exactly as reported: the made-up participation trophy. Some traditions, apparently, are sacred.

So the policies didn’t blur together. The timeline did.
One day it’s coal. The next day it’s climate rules. Same theme, different chapter.
Keeping the record straight matters, even when the news cycle feels like it’s being shuffled by a toddler with a deck of cards.
More to the Story
We woke up Wednesday to news that the airspace around El Paso was suddenly shut down to air traffic for ten days.
Ten days.
Then, before most of us had even finished our first cup of coffee, the Federal Aviation Administration casually reversed course and reopened it.
At first, there was no explanation.
Then we were told the United States Department of Defense had shot down a drone that crossed in from Mexico.
Minutes later, that turned into a balloon. Maybe four balloons.
And then the story changed again. It wasn’t the Pentagon at all. It was U.S. Customs and Border Protection, apparently using counter-drone tech they had no business operating.
Which, according to multiple reports, also left United States Northern Command and the The Pentagon in the dark.
“According to a U.S. official, the directed energy/laser counter drone technology was in CBP's control when the balloon was mistakenly shot down near El Paso, Texas earlier this week,” per Fox’s @Liz_Friden
— Jennifer Griffin (@JenGriffinFNC) February 11, 2026

Show more =’s “In January, Defense Secretary Hegseth signed an agreement for the Pentagon to loan the directed energy counter drone platform to DHS, the U.S. official tells Fox News. The official said the agreement was signed sometime in the last 30 days. Following the shoot down is when FAA closed the airspace, the official said.” EDIT: A U.S. official could not go into specifics about what exactly the technology used by the U.S. military is, but said directed energy/lasers is accurate to use.
U.S. military source just told me the same: this was DHS: “Every General and Admiral at NORTHCOM is pissed that DHS did an operation and told no one because homeland defense is what NORTHCOM does. Even the base commander at Ft. Bliss called the Pentagon and NORTHCOM furious about… https://t.co/P3GY0fo6Ip
— Michael Weiss (@michaeldweiss) February 11, 2026
Show more =’s Bliss called the Pentagon and NORTHCOM furious about the airspace thing because he had nothing to do with it — and the Pentagon and NORTHCOM also didn’t know anything about the airspace closure. It’s like DHS is trying to hide the fact that their spec ops group is there with the laser gun.”
So to recap: the sky was closed, then open, then it was a drone, then balloons, then not even the agency we were told.
Totally normal stuff. Nothing chaotic about any of that.
Let’s see what’s on Toddlers Mind News
Toddler scolded his House Republican cult members and even one Republican governor, because apparently even the loyalists weren’t loyal enough for him.

The Unhinged Text:
The RINO Governor of the Great State of Oklahoma, in which I won all 77 Counties, three times (The only
The RINO Governor of the Great State of Oklahoma, in which I won all 77 Counties, three times (The only person to do so!), incorrectly stated my position on the very exclusive Governors Annual Dinner and Meeting at the White House:
“The White House intends to limit invitations to the annual business meeting, scheduled for February 20th, to Republican Governors only.”
That is false!
The invitations were sent to ALL Governors, other than two, who I feel are not worthy of being there.
I did not invite the Governor of Colorado, who has unfairly incarcerated in solitary confinement a 73-year-old cancer stricken woman (A nine year term!), for attempting to fight Democrat Voter Fraud, plus the foul mouthed Governor of Maryland, who fraudulently stated that he received Military medals, A LIE, is doing a terrible job on the rebuilding of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, and has allowed Baltimore to continue to be a Crime Disaster.
I even invited the SLOB of a Governor, JB Pritzker, and horrendous California Governor, Gavin Newscum, to the Dinner, despite the terrible job that they are doing.
So, as usual with him, Stitt got it WRONG!
The Invitations were sent out to all other Governors, Democrat and Republican.
I look forward to seeing the Republican Governors, and some of the Democrats Governors who were worthy of being invited, but most of whom won’t show up.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!
PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP
Fuck Him and ICE.
Governor Wes Moore (D-Maryland) said he was uninvited from the dinner, not that he’d never been invited.
His full statement (02/08/2026):
“This week, I learned that I was uninvited to this year’s National Governors Association dinner — a decades-long annual tradition meant to bring governors from both parties together to build bonds and celebrate a shared service to our citizens with the President of the United States. My peers, both Democrats and Republicans, selected me to serve as the Vice Chair of the NGA, another reason why it’s hard not to see this decision as another example of blatant disrespect and a snub to the spirit of bipartisan federal-state partnership.
“As the nation’s only Black governor, I can’t ignore that being singled out for exclusion from this bipartisan tradition carries an added weight — whether that was the intent or not.
“What makes it especially confounding is that just weeks ago I was at the White House with a bipartisan group of governors, working with the administration on reforms to lower energy costs and strengthen grid reliability. We proved in that moment what’s possible when we stay focused on outcomes over politics.
“As Governor of Maryland and Vice Chair of the NGA, my approach will never change: I’m ready to work with the administration anywhere we can deliver results. Yet, I promised the people of my state I will work with anybody but will bow down to nobody. And I guess the President doesn’t like that.”
His full statement (02/08/2026).
What did Governor Kevin Stitt the leader of the National Governors Association do to earn his toddlers ire?
PBS.org (02/12/2026):
The dispute centers on whether Trump would allow governors from both major parties to participate in the full range of White House events, which typically includes a business meeting and meal. In a letter to fellow governors on Monday, Stitt said the NGA was informed that the White House planned to limit invitations to the business meeting to Republicans. That prompted an outcry from Democrats, who said they wouldn’t participate in the meal if they weren’t fully included at the business meeting.
By Wednesday, Stitt connected with Trump on the phone and followed up with an email to fellow governors.
“I am writing to inform you that President Donald J. Trump is inviting all governors of the 55 States and territories to the Friday, Feb. 20 NGA Business Breakfast at 8:30am est.,” Stitt wrote. “He was very clear in his communications with me that this is a National Governors Association’s event, and he looks forward to hosting you and hearing from governors across the country. President Donald Trump said this was always his intention, and we have addressed the misunderstanding in scheduling.”
[snip]
Following Trump’s post, Brandon Tatum, the NGA’s chief executive, stood by the group’s timeline of events.
“As of Tuesday evening, only Republican Governors received invites from the White House for the Friday morning business meeting,” he said in a statement. “We are hopeful that we can have constructive bipartisan dialogue with the President during the session. Continuing the tradition of the business meeting is an important step toward bridge building among parties.”
For now, it’s unclear how many Democrats will show up at the White House. Some, including Gov. Gavin Newsom of California, said Wednesday they didn’t plan to attend the meeting. Others, such as Gov. Ned Lamont of Connecticut, signaled they would participate.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Tuesday that Trump has “discretion to invite anyone he wants to the White House.”

Because I’m me, I took the file numbers and searched those records out myself.
I discovered that the errors in that “search history” are just more evidence of this admin incompetence.

BREAKING: A judge temporarily blocks the Pentagon from punishing Sen. Mark Kelly for calling on U.S. troops to resist unlawful orders. https://t.co/0UjA1UDuxh
— The Associated Press (@AP) February 12, 2026
A federal judge agreed Thursday to temporarily block the Pentagon from punishing Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly, a former Navy pilot, for participating in a video that called on troops to resist unlawful orders.
U.S. District Judge Richard Leon ruled that Pentagon officials violated Kelly’s First Amendment free speech rights and “threatened the constitutional liberties of millions of military retirees.”
Kelly, who represents Arizona, sued in federal court to block his Jan. 5 censure from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
