Welcome to Doomsday Tuesday…
This morning on Lies Social: ‘a whole civilization might die tonight.’

He’s made threats before. He’s said horrible things before. Often times we view these threats like this:
He’s said horrible things before. Often times we view those horrible things like this:
But in my lifetime, I’ve never seen anything like this from a sitting president. Talking about an entire civilization dying like it’s just another talking point isn’t normal. It’s a new low.
Some elected Republicans took to the airwaves this morning to defend him, as if this were just another normal statement.
Senator Ron Johnson:
Sen. Ron Johnson: "I am hoping and praying that President Trump is, that this really is bluster. I do not want to see us start blowing up civilian infrastructure. I do not want to see that. We are not at war with the Iranian people. We are trying to liberate them." pic.twitter.com/upykUa3jeH

I am hoping and praying that President Trump is… this really is bluster. I do not want to see us start blowing up civilian infrastructure. I do not want to see that we are not at war with the Iranian people. Yeah, we are trying to liberate them.

“We are not at war with the Iranian people”…
Who the fuck do they think gets hurt when you bomb another country? Bombs don’t check your military status. They just kill you. FFS.
Rep. Pat Harrington:

Iran Unleashed chaos all around the globe that was American weakness Unfortunately, that did that under President Joe Biden, President Trump is trying to reassert that Authority. The reality is, though, is that costs money, and it’s very expensive, and so we have to take a look at where the globe is right now. President Trump is trying to actually turn the temperature down. He’s absolutely trying to put the screws to our strategic adversaries, which is China and Russia. He’s doing that by taking off their peripheral allies in Venezuela. And now, Iran.

Oval Office occupier is “trying to actually turn the temperature down”…
Right, because telling the world “a whole civilization might die tonight”, that he doesn’t want it but “it will probably happen”, is really lowering the temperature. Sure.
Rep. Carlos Gimenez:
Rep. Carlos Gimenez: "I support what the president is doing. Iran is like a cancer. Sometimes the cure to cancer hurts, but the cancer has to be eliminated. And the cancer is Iran." pic.twitter.com/XvJplcUpko

Think that we have to finish the job simply. You know, Iran has demonstrated to the world why a nuclear-armed Iran is an untenable Iran. Look what they’re doing to the Strait of Hormuz. Look how they’re threatening all their neighbors right now. Can you imagine if they had a nuclear weapon and they’d feel invulnerable so? No the president has to follow through with his threats, and also we need to finish it off. And, uh, and this regime has to go. Uh, and so you know, I I support what the president is doing. We just need to press forward because look Iran’s like a cancer, and uh, and sometimes the cure to cancer hurts. But the cancer has to be eliminated, and that cancer is Iran.

“Sometimes the cure to cancer hurts”…
Curing cancer now means killing the cancer patients, apparently.
Rep. Mike Lawler:
BERMAN: The president is threatening a whole civilization will die tonight. You say he doesn't want to do it. Does being reluctant to end a civilization make it ok?
— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) April 7, 2026
LAWLER: I don't think we're talking about ending a civilization–
BERMAN: So you don't believe the president's… pic.twitter.com/0Z93e9vBPk
Berman: Okay, the new threat from the president is that a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. You say the president doesn’t want to do it. Does being reluctant to end a civilization make it okay?
Lawler: Again, I, I don’t think we’re talking about ending a civilization.
Berman: So you don’t believe, are you saying, you don’t believe. Congressman, are you saying you don’t believe the president’s threat? Do you say you don’t believe the president’s threat
Lawler: It is their infrastructure? It is their energy, infrastructure, and their civilian infrastructure, including roads and bridges that will cripple the Iranian regime and certainly their economy. That is not something we want to do, because as Ron Johnson said rightly, we are not at war with the Iranian people. We want them to be free from this oppression and tyranny that they have lived under for 47 years. But if the president has to take necessary action to strike their energy and infrastructure, that is going to cripple the regime. That is what he is talking about.
Berman: You don’t believe a threat you don’t take him at his word that he will end a whole civilization.
Lawler: He is talking about the energy and and civilian infrastructure. That’s what he’s talking about, John.
Berman: He is, that is, have you had a conversation with him about that? He says, I never to be brought back again. He just means the bridges in the infrastructure.
Lawler: Again, John. We’re talking about taking decisive action against Iran’s energy and civilian infrastructure. That is what the president is talking about. He’s not talking about obliterating innocent people.

“He’s not talking about obliterating innocent people”…
What the fuck do people like Lawler think? That you can destroy infrastructure without killing innocent people? That carpet bombing a country somehow spares women and children? Bombs don’t make moral decisions. They don’t change their fucking course.
And even if the bombs don’t kill them, the aftermath will. No power, no clean water, no food, no hospitals. People die anyway.
