It’s Thursday…
Shitshow’s public schedule for…

The White House has added a press briefing to today’s schedule.

Today, Vice President Designated Scapegoat will make an appearance in the White House briefing room where he’ll likely face questions about both the deal and his previous claims that reports about the MOU contained Iranian propaganda. The administration eventually released the document, and readers quickly noticed the official version looked awfully familiar.
Washington Post (gift link) confirming the CNN article I shared in Wednesday’s Coffee Talk with Tiff that detailed the MOU:
- Paragraph 6: The United States of America undertakes with regional partners to develop a definitive, mutually agreed plan with at least USD $300 billion for the reconstruction and economic development of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The mechanism for the implementation of this plan will be finalized as part of a final deal within 60 days. All required licenses, waivers and permissions used for the relevant financial transactions will be graded by the United States of America.
Sure seems like the American taxpayer will in fact fund some of the rebuilding in Iran.
Yesterday, Commander Unconditional Surrender publicly named Vice President Designated Scapegoat as the person who will be blamed if the Iran deal falls apart.
Commander of Unconditional Surrender: One more, one more? Go ahead, Peter. Let me finish with Peter because he’s been better to me than he’s been to Biden.
Peter Doocy: Thank you, President Trump. I have a question about this weekend. Why not stick around for the signing ceremony with this Iran peace deal?
Commander of Unconditional Surrender: I might.
Peter Doocy: You might.
Commander of Unconditional Surrender: Yeah, I might, but I’d rather… This is a memorandum of understanding. It’s very important, but it might not be the kind of document that I should be signing.
Peter Doocy: Is there some element to this where you send the vice president, if it works out great, you’ll look like a genius for sending him, and if it doesn’t work out, it’s the vice president’s fault?
Commander of Unconditional Surrender: I like that idea, sure. This way, if it works out, I’m going to take the credit. If it doesn’t work out, I’m blaming JD. You’d better be careful, JD. He’s going to turn his plane around and get the hell out of here. Yeah, I like that idea. I think it’s a good idea. Thank you very much, everybody. Thank you.

Narrator: He did in fact sign the MOU.
Wheels on the bus…
Speaking of CNN…
The administration insisted CNN’s reporting did not reflect the actual MOU.
The supposed text of the MOU that was obtained by CNN does not reflect the language of the actual MOU. https://t.co/tAieSPRHbf

Then the administration finally released the actual MOU.
Narrator:
Update: the text of the MOU that was leaked by CNN turned out to almost exactly reflect the language of the actual MOU.

Nearly 60 years after he led his reconnaissance team through a harrowing ambush in South Vietnam — ignoring his numerous serious wounds — retired Maj. James Capers Jr. will finally be honored with the U.S. military’s highest award for valor on Thursday.
President Donald Trump will award Capers the Medal of Honor at Thursday’s ceremony, a White House official confirmed to Task & Purpose.

The press briefing is happening now and going as about as one might have guessed.
