Speaking of isolation…

On Wednesday, the MeidasTouch reported on horrible conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln.

Text messages shared with MeidasTouch by a family member of a service member currently deployed aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln paint a bleak picture of daily life on board, more than eight months into a deployment that was supposed to end in May and instead has no announced return date.

The sailor’s identity is being withheld to protect them from retaliation.

The sailor went on to describe the emotional toll of the extended deployment: “I know my family needs me and the navy is not being fair rn taking me away far longer than expected. Worst part my expectations were already at an all time low. But as per usual, the navy beat those too by going lower than hell. So there’s that.”

The next day, asked about reports of the appalling conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, Pete “fuck him” Hegshit told the media that those conditions had been “completely misrepresented.”

Today, MeidasTouch reports that the crisis appears to be more widespread than initially reported.

The rest of the tweet says: This crisis appears to be far bigger than just the USS Abraham Lincoln.

Since MeidasTouch began reporting on conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, messages have poured in to MeidasTouch from military families and service members across multiple ships and even multiple branches. Taken together, they paint a picture of a crisis that extends well beyond a single carrier. All sources below are being kept anonymous to protect them and their loved ones from retaliation.

The pattern is clear

Taken together, alongside the reporting already out from Military Times, Stars and Stripes, and MS NOW, a consistent pattern emerges across multiple ships, multiple branches, and even service members on land: exhausted troops, failing infrastructure, dwindling supplies, no end date, and leadership that families say is not listening.

While the troops suffer, Puddle is laser focused…

The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court on Friday to intervene and allow him to construct a new 90,000-square-foot ballroom in place of the demolished White House East Wing.

The request for emergency relief to the Supreme Court comes one week after a federal appeals court ruled the White House lacked authority to build the $400 million project without congressional approval.

And this…

I couldn’t upload the screen recording from the tweet, but I found the segment on YouTube:

Nancy Cordes:

The Kennedy Center has basically come up with a workaround to get President Trump’s name back on that building. Now, if you’ll recall that a federal judge ruled back in May that it was unlawful to rename the building the Donald Trump and John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The ruling said only Congress could change the name and that Trump’s name had to come down.

So Thursday, the Kennedy Center board members, most of whom were appointed by President Trump, voted to add an inscription to the building instead, right under the Kennedy Center sign that says the building was quote “restored and renovated by President Donald J. Trump.”

Most of that renovation work, however, has not actually taken place yet. In fact, the same federal judge temporarily blocked the Kennedy Center leadership from closing the center for the next two years for renovations.

But on Thursday, the board again approved a renovation plan that would close most of the facility. Multiple sources confirmed to us that President Trump phoned into Thursday’s board meeting. He has been talking about getting his name on that building since he took office last year.

But there’s a very good chance this new inscription is going to face a court fight as well.

And this…

Wine Box Pirro said the woman who spray-painted the World War II Memorial and put soap bubbles in the fountain has been arrested.

The rest of the tweet says: This morning, we are filing two felony charges, Depredation Against Property of the United States and Destruction of Veterans’ Memorials, in Federal District Court against Melissa L. Farris, offenses that carry penalties of up to ten years in prison. She is now in custody.

My Coffee Talk Take:

Our troops are suffering for one very big reason.

Incompetence.

Hegseth is an unqualified piece of shit who views our military as just bodies sent forth to carry out his fantasies of starring in Apocalypse Now.

Puddle, his cult leader, jumped into this war without a plan.

Oh, wait, there was a plan. They believed their own bullshit about their superiority and thought this “war” would be short and easy to win.

Sort of like trade wars…

These fuckers continue to show the world that America is simply an unserious nation focused on petty bullshit like the World War II Memorial being hit with soap and paint by an old hippie woman.

I get it. Vandalism is wrong. But it shouldn’t be breaking fucking news and a national crisis.

In the grand scheme of things, it simply isn’t important to our continued existence.

Pirro says it’s despicable.

From where I sit, the only despicable things I see are Puddle and his whole group of incompetent, reality-star-wannabe Cabinet members.
