As seen in yesterday’s Coffee Talk, MSNOW reported that aides were looking for more venues for Puddle to slap his name on. Venues that weren’t as problematic as the Kennedy Center. Puddle responded to that reporting.

A federal judge temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s ban of three news outlets from the White House, ordering early Thursday that CNN, MS NOW and Politico must have their access restored. Reporters from all three outlets, however, said they remained blocked a few hours after the ruling.

In his late-night ruling, U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly ordered the White House to “immediately return, reinstate, and restore” the three outlets’ access. He said they had met the legal thresholds to obtain a temporary restraining order, in effect for 14 days, and were likely to succeed in showing that their press passes were revoked without due process.
“This is a high bar, but Plaintiffs have met it,” he wrote.

The judge also made clear he did not buy the administration’s argument that the news outlets’ reporting endangered national security — and noted that Trump himself had not used that argument in the beginning, focusing solely on what he called negative coverage.

This morning the reporters were again blocked access to the White House. The Puddle appointed Judge has already scheduled an emergency hearing for this afternoon to find out how come Puddle’s administration defied his court ordered.

The White House singled out six stories published by POLITICO, including a June 2026 article that cited a “senior administration official” who put the odds of the U.S. striking a deal with Iran to end the war at between 80 and 85 percent. That senior administration official, Status has learned, was none other than Vice President JD Vance speaking on a background call with reporters authorized by the White House.

It’s 2026, and I didn’t think I’d need to explain how sources work, but here we are.
The reporter knows who the source is. It doesn’t matter if it’s “a source with knowledge of the call” or whatever they say. The reporter has names, dates, and background information on the sources they use.
Administrations for as long as I can remember have used the words “senior administration official” to describe whatever official briefed reporters. These briefings aren’t new. Some are in person and some are over the phone.
The fact this admin used that article as proof these outlets are a threat to national security is totally on brand.
