Second Feature: Green Acres: S2 E3 – I Didn’t Raise My Pig To Be A Soldier

Oliver and Lisa agree to “pig sit” Arnold while the Ziffels enjoy a second honeymoon in Niagara Falls. With the Ziffels gone, the Douglases quickly learn that Arnold is no normal pig and certainly not the kind that sleeps in a cold barn by himself! Things get wackier when the Douglas’s receive a letter from the United States military draft board addressed to Arnold. It is a conscription notice! Thinking they can just ignore the letter, the Douglases are surprised to find the Country Selective Service Board showing up at their door and threatening consequences if Arnold skips out his scheduled induction. As instructed, Oliver brings Arnold in for his required physical. Despite Oliver’s efforts, a series of misunderstandings ensue, with the FBI eventually locking up Oliver for lying to federal agents. The only way out seems to be for the Ziffels to cut their trip short and come home to sort things out.
