President Court Jester is almost guaranteed to unleash a fresh batch of flaming nonsense during his court appearance today. While we brace ourselves for the inevitable cringe clips we’ll regret watching, let’s distract ourselves with a totally random dive into my Twitter bookmarks. Because why not?
#EpsteinFileGate…
Justice demands courage. For the first time, the Department of Justice is reaching out to Ghislaine Maxwell to ask: what do you know? At @AGPamBondi’s direction, I’ve contacted her counsel. I intend to meet with her soon. No one is above the law—and no lead is off-limits. https://t.co/3IZh9viI7i

Cosplaying AG barbie’s tweet.
Statement from @DAGToddBlanche:
— Attorney General Pamela Bondi (@AGPamBondi) July 22, 2025
This Department of Justice does not shy away from uncomfortable truths, nor from the responsibility to pursue justice wherever the facts may lead. The joint statement by the DOJ and FBI of July 6 remains as accurate today as it was when it was…
Show more =’s The joint statement by the DOJ and FBI of July 6 remains as accurate today as it was when it was written. Namely, that in the recent thorough review of the files maintained by the FBI in the Epstein case, no evidence was uncovered that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties. President Trump has told us to release all credible evidence. If Ghislane Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against victims, the FBI and the DOJ will hear what she has to say. Therefore, at the direction of Attorney General Bondi, I have communicated with counsel for Ms. Maxwell to determine whether she would be willing to speak with prosecutors from the Department. I anticipate meeting with Ms. Maxwell in the coming days. Until now, no administration on behalf of the Department had inquired about her willingness to meet with the government. That changes now.
Food for thought…
Again, it's important to note that had @PamBondi not fired Maurene Comey last Wednesday on Trump's personal authority, then Ms Comey would be expected to participate in @DAGToddBlanche's meeting with the sex trafficker.

Now there'll be no witnesses repping interests of victims.
Cowardly Speaker of the House Mike “my son see’s my porn intake” Johnson is said to be rushing to recess the House early to avoid having to vote on forcing release of the Epstein files.
Breaking News: Speaker Mike Johnson said he would shut down the House until September to block a vote on calling for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files. https://t.co/UO2Zcud306

The New York Times (gift article):
- Epstein case: Speaker Mike Johnson said he would shut the House down early for its summer recess to head off Democratic demands for votes on calling for the release of files from the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and sex offender who was once friends with President Trump. In order to avoid what he called “political games,” Mr. Johnson said the House would adjourn until September after votes scheduled for Wednesday night. The announcement came just after the House Oversight Committee voted to subpoena Ghislaine Maxwell, the longtime partner of Mr. Epstein, for a deposition.
President Court Jester took a question about the Epstein files and somehow turned it into an accusation of treason against former President Obama—because nothing says “stable genius” like dodging one scandal by throwing a conspiracy Molotov at another. Presidential vibes: chaotic deflection edition.
Trump on Epstein: I don’t really follow that too much. It’s sort of a witch hunt. Just a continuation of the witch hunt. The witch hunt you should be talking about is that they caught President Obama absolutely cold. pic.twitter.com/aMqtIrSQIu

The next clip is a continuation of the above clip; he calls Hillary Clinton the “ex-wife” of a former President.
Trump: But after what they did to me and whether it's right or wrong time to go after people. Obama has been caught directly. What they did is very criminal. It’s criminal at the highest level. pic.twitter.com/AXuiaApDPA

In this clip he says Obama committed treason.
Trump declares that Obama is guilty of treason: Barack Hussain Obama, have you heard of him? He is guilty. It’s not a question. This was treason. pic.twitter.com/71s6zR5LX8

Narrator: No he didn’t.
In this clip he continues to lie saying what the DNI released is the biggest scandal ever!!!!
Trump: We found absolute — this isn't like "Evidence" or like — this is proof, irrefutable proof that Obama was seditious, that Obama was trying to lead a coup, and with Hillary Clinton and all these other people, but Obama headed it up. This is the biggest scandal in the… pic.twitter.com/wiXtTmvkqB

Show more =’s This is the biggest scandal in the history of our country. It really goes on even to the autopen.
In this one he says he’s gonna let his loyal Attorney General handle what happens next to Obama…

Before he said Obama and company deserve jail for “treason”, he said that Fed Chair Powell should raise interest rates, to 1 percent.
TRUMP: He ought to raise interest rates. We should be at 1%. pic.twitter.com/0GUunYI6MI

He continues attacking Powell, by saying he has think tanks where they build buildings for people to “think”…

Speaking of economic news…
Breaking: General Motors' profit shrank 35% last quarter after taking a $1.1 billion tariff hit https://t.co/Kk9NYPTsbI
— The Wall Street Journal (@WSJ) July 22, 2025
General Motors GM -6.43%decrease; red down pointing triangle managed to beat analyst expectations Tuesday when it reported second-quarter results, but new tariffs on imported cars and auto parts took a $1.1 billion bite out of its bottom line.
GM’s net income shrank 35% in the second quarter despite strong sales gains at dealerships as President Trump’s automotive tariffs weighed on the largest automaker in the U.S. The company this spring lowered its earlier profit guidance for 2025. Now GM says greater impacts are expected to hit the carmaker in the third quarter, though the company maintained its profit guidance for the full year.
GM has largely held prices steady despite tariffs, choosing to absorb the costs while shifting some production to the U.S. and holding out for trade deals with Mexico, Canada and South Korea that would provide relief. Chief Executive Mary Barra hasn’t ruled out raising prices, however, saying the company will stay competitive.

Manufacturing activity in the mid-Atlantic region this month deteriorated unexpectedly, driven by lower readings for shipments and new orders as trade uncertainty persisted https://t.co/fa409Y6sXE
— The Wall Street Journal (@WSJ) July 22, 2025
Manufacturing activity in the mid-Atlantic region this month deteriorated unexpectedly, driven by lower readings for shipments and new orders as trade uncertainty persisted.
The Fifth District Survey of Manufacturing Activity’s index for July sank sharply to minus 20 from minus 8 in June, the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond said Tuesday. A consensus of economists polled by The Wall Street Journal expected it instead to inch up to minus 6.5.
The reading below zero means more of the 66-72 firms responding to the survey this month reported decreasing activity than increasing, the fifth month in a row that has happened.
All three component indexes for the survey—shipments, new orders and employment—declined compared with June, the Richmond Fed said. The index for new orders faced the most pronounced downturn.
However, future indexes for shipments and new orders ticked higher, though for future employment it decreased.
