TNB Night Owl: My Top 31 Soundtrack Movie Countdown!

Number 16 takes us to the streets of New York—well, at least that’s how it felt in my living room. When I was a kid, I’d crank up the soundtrack and dance around like I was one of the students chasing their dreams at the High School of Performing Arts. Fame (1980) is all about ambition, struggle, and grabbing your moment in the spotlight, and the music captures that perfectly. From the title track that dares you to “live forever” to the songs that echo both the grit and the hope of chasing a dream, it’s a soundtrack that makes you want to move.

I’ll be linking to each soundtrack’s Wikipedia page if you want to dig deeper, rediscover the track listings, or argue with your own memory of what played during that prom scene.

And don’t worry — this won’t be the last time we visit movie soundtracks. 🎶
