I can’t even say for sure when I first saw Grease. It might’ve been when it came out in 1978, or it might’ve been in 1982 when my mom took me to see Grease 2 (which, yes, made my list too at #27). Either way, I was hooked. The songs, the energy, the pink jackets and greased hair — it was everything. My mom’s favorite was “Beauty School Dropout,” but I honestly loved them all. I never could pick just one favorite — the whole soundtrack felt like pure magic. Few soundtracks capture that perfect mix of fun, nostalgia, and sing-along energy quite like this one.
Because let’s be real — Grease is still the word.
I’ll be linking to each soundtrack’s Wikipedia page if you want to dig deeper, rediscover the track listings, or argue with your own memory of what played during that prom scene.
And don’t worry — this won’t be the last time we visit movie soundtracks. 🎶
