Second Feature: Green Acres: S2 E14 – Never Trust A Little Old Lady

Lisa experiments with her “hotscakes” recipe by making hots-kebabs…shish kebabs made of hotcakes. Foregoing breakfast, Oliver is interested to know when he can plant his tomato crop, but the local news has an awfully unusual weather reporter: a Swiss clock containing the figurine of a little old lady. Oliver learns that the town is in fact vehemently split as to which weather “man” they rely on. Some are Mildred believers (as the lady in the clock is called), while others are staunch believers of Walter, the singing weatherman, on the competing station. As debates rage over whether the weather will bring rain or drought, Mr. Haney tries to sell Oliver an automatic tomato planter and some equally questionable voodoo dolls. Against the odds, Oliver plants his tomatoes, only to wake up to discover a late frost. Worried he will lose his whole crop, Oliver may just have to rely on relies on Lisa’s cooking to save the day. Food for thought, eh?
