🚨TUNE IN AT 10:00AM: President Trump to call on Americans to pray for nation as 250th birthday approaches: 'One Nation Under God'https://t.co/d85eVNRpPl
— Karoline Leavitt (@PressSec) September 8, 2025
President Donald Trump will announce the launch of America Prays at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. today while tying the faith-driven initiative to the nation’s 250th birthday.Â
The inspiring program calls on Americans to dedicate time every week to pray for the country and to underscore faith as central to the nation’s founding and future.
“President Trump has revived one of America’s most prominent and powerful founding principles — we are one nation under God,” White House Spokeswoman Taylor Rogers told Fox News Digital. “As we approach the 250th anniversary of the greatest country in the world, President Trump invites Americans to pray for our nation and for our people. America is stronger with the power of prayer.”
The initiative also suggests people join with at least 10 others each week to pray.

Immigration agents are often given wide latitude in their work. That means a lot of what the public has been witnessing since Trump took office — and may be shocked by — is likely legalhttps://t.co/PSSCn84dmV
Masked, plain-clothed agents are grabbing people they believe are undocumented immigrants off the streets, pulling them into unmarked vehicles and swiftly detaining them.
In other cases, masked agents are running checkpoints in the middle of Washington, D.C., and in L.A., and questioning people in their cars.
And in some situations, agents are smashing the windows of those cars in order to pull a person out.

Any administration willing to send the National Guard and Marines into a U.S. city, any administration threatening to strip citizenship from Americans it doesn’t like, has zero credibility lecturing me on what god or goddess I should believe in—or how I should pray. Our Founding Fathers are rolling over in their graves. This country was not founded on religion; it was founded on freedom from it. And yes, I pray—I pray this nightmare ends, and that it ends with as little bloodshed as possible.
His remarks have started. I will be posting them in random order…
“I just left the Middle East” (that May 2025 trip), where Trump claims NATO leaders told him America was “dead” a year ago but it’s “hot” now. Sure, some NATO folks were in the room—but none of them declared America the walking dead. This isn’t a new lie either; it’s one of his recycled favorites, dragged out whenever he needs applause or a fresh headline.

The U.S. labor market would be barely growing without job gains in health services. Eight charts look at employment and the American workforce. https://t.co/riQQNLRaLW
— The Wall Street Journal (@WSJ) September 8, 2025
Friday’s jobs report reinforced the trend, painting a picture of a sharply slowing labor market, with health services one of the few relatively bright spots. Indeed, absent gains in health-services employment in August, the private sector would have shed jobs last month.Â
So far in 2025, the economy has added an average of about 74,000 private-sector jobs a month, according to the Labor Department, a step down from last year’s average gain of about 130,000 jobs. Take away the roughly 64,000 jobs that health services have been adding each month, though, and the remainder of the private sector has been contributing only about 9,400 jobs a month.
Both healthcare and social assistance tend to add jobs steadily, even in economic downturns. Healthcare is something people spend money on even when they are cutting back elsewhere, and the healthcare needs of an aging population have contributed to the sector’s underlying growth. The same goes for the closely related social-assistance sector: A bit more than half of its 5.2 million jobs are in services such as home care for the elderly and disabled.
All told, there are now 23.5 million health-services jobs in the U.S., or about one in six private-sector jobs. That compares with 12.7 million manufacturing jobs, and 15.6 million jobs at retailers. Only the professional and business-services sector, a catchall category that includes everything from lawyers to security guards to telemarketers, comes close, with 22.5 million employees.

FYI: Kids have always been allowed to pray in school—I did it at lunch for a few years as a kid. I stopped saying the words out loud long before I actually stopped blessing the meal. What was stopped was forcing prayer on kids in public schools.
Narrator: That’s because America isn’t a Sunday school monopoly—it’s a mix of religions, denominations, and yes, even Christians who don’t all march in the same lockstep hymn.
