On Sunday evening, in an opinion piece published by The New York Times (gift link), New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D) announced her endorsement of Zohran Mamdani.
In the four years since I became governor of New York, one of my foundational beliefs has been the importance of the office working hand in hand with the mayor of New York City for the betterment of the 8.3 million residents we both represent.
The question of who will be the next mayor is one I take extremely seriously and to which I have devoted a great deal of thought.
I am endorsing Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani.
In the past few months, I’ve had frank conversations with him. We’ve had our disagreements. But in our conversations, I heard a leader who shares my commitment to a New York where children can grow up safe in their neighborhoods and where opportunity is within reach for every family. I heard a leader who is focused on making New York City affordable — a goal I enthusiastically support.
I also shared with him my priorities, making it very clear that our police officers should have every resource to keep our streets and subways safe. I urged him to ensure that there is strong leadership at the helm of the N.Y.P.D. — and he agreed.
[snip]
And in light of the abhorrent and destructive policies coming out of Washington every day, I needed to know the next mayor will not be someone who would surrender one inch to President Trump.
I didn’t leave my conversations with Mr. Mamdani aligned with him on every issue. But I am confident that he has the courage, urgency and optimism New York City needs to lead it through the challenges of this moment.
[snip]
New York needs leaders who will put aside differences, stand up and fight back against Mr. Trump.
Mr. Mamdani and I will both be fearless in confronting the president’s extreme agenda — with urgency, conviction and the defiance that defines New York. And we must never allow Mr. Trump to control our city like the king he wants to be. Anyone who accepts his tainted influence or benefits from it is compromised from the start.
My entire career, I have embraced the Happy Warrior, can-do spirit that meets any challenge undaunted. I and other New Yorkers have seen that in Mr. Mamdani.
[snip]
Some will say Mr. Mamdani and I are unlikely allies: a mom governor from Buffalo and a 33-year-old assemblyman from Queens. To me, that’s the beauty of this moment. What New Yorkers deserve right now is not grievances or grudges, but steely resolve to fight like hell.
Mr. Mamdani and I don’t see eye to eye on everything, and I don’t expect us to. I will always reserve the right to disagree honestly and to argue passionately. But I also believe that New York State and New York City are at our best when we stand together against those who attempt to tear us apart.
For all these reasons, I am endorsing Zohran Mamdani in the upcoming election for mayor. And I look forward to working with him to ensure that New York City’s best days lie ahead.

This morning President Feel posted his feelings about Hochul’s endorsement:

The text:
Governor Kathy Hochul of New York has Endorsed the “Liddle’ Communist,” Zohran Mamdani, running for Mayor of New York. This is a rather shocking development, and a very bad one for New York City. How can such a thing happen? Washington will be watching this situation very closely. No reason to be sending good money after bad! President DJT
He’s hinting that, because of a state race that has zero to do with him, he might have to hold New York’s federal dollars hostage. Nothing says “limited government” like micromanaging local elections from Washington.
He got downright He-motional over the NFL’s new kickoff rule, declaring that “‘Sissy’ football is bad for America.”..

He replaced the autocorrect fail “he’ll” to hell which is what he intended.

The text:
The NFL has to get rid of that ridiculous looking new Kickoff Rule. How can they make such a big and sweeping change so easily and quickly. It’s at least as dangerous as the “normal” kickoff, and looks like hell. The ball is moving, and the players are not, the exact opposite of what football is all about. “Sissy” football is bad for America, and bad for the NFL! Who comes up with these ridiculous ideas? It’s like wanting to “roll back” the golf ball so it doesn’t go (nearly!) as far. Fortunately, college football will remain the same, hopefully forever!!
The husband’s opinion: he’s just mad that Rogers (Aaron) lost because they fucked up a kick return…
President Bad for the Economy posted thoughts that said businesses should stop posting quarterly reports and focus instead on filing semiannual reports that way the “managers” can focus “properly” on running their companies.

Fun fact: Chinese companies also report quarterly earnings. The difference isn’t that Beijing invented some mystical 100-year business calendar—it’s that their government actually makes long-term plans, while ours lets Wall Street have a panic attack every 90 days.
President Grandpa says the U.S.–China meeting in Europe went “Very Well!” and assures us that the youths will be thrilled because a deal was reached on a “certain” company they wanted to save.

It’s just a framework deal according to Scott “I sold all my credibility for President Economically Stupid” Bessent.

On the eve of the Federal Reserve meeting, where rate cuts are expected (though no one knows by how much), President Economically Stupid took another swipe at Fed Chair Powell and confidently declared—once again—that if rates are cut, the “HOUSING” market “WILL SOAR!!!

Reminder: The Federal Reserve’s interest rate indirectly affects mortgage rates. Lowering the rate is likely to have only a minimal impact on home sales.
On his return to Washington D.C., yesterday, President Says the most Stupidest Things said some stupid things.

“300 million people died from drugs last year”…
In May 2025, the CDC released provisional data on U.S. drug overdose deaths:
Provisional data from the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics indicate there were an estimated 80,391 drug overdose deaths in the United States during 2024—a decrease of 26.9% from the 110,037 deaths estimated in 2023.
Annual drug overdose deaths are projected to reach their lowest level since 2019.
Almost all states across the nation saw decreases; Louisiana, Michigan, New Hampshire, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin and Washington, D.C., experienced declines of 35% or more. In contrast, South Dakota and Nevada had slight increases compared to the same period in 2023.
The new data show overdose deaths involving opioids decreased from an estimated 83,140 in 2023 to 54,743 in 2024. Overdose deaths involving cocaine and psychostimulants (like methamphetamine) decreased as well.

“Oh, give me a break. You could see it. You saw the bags of white everything, right through the bags. It’s nonsense.” He also says “the problem is nobody is getting on boats anymore, maybe that’s a good problem”.
Asked about the talks that were underway in Europe between the US and China, he smugly asked a reporter if they knew how much China was paying right now because of tariffs, he says “a lot”.

He really is the stupidest person…
Last week, Fox and Friends host Brian Kilmeade suggested that homeless people that refused help or who didn’t go to jail should suffer an “involuntary lethal injection. Just kill them”.

His remarks that didn’t really get attention until a few days later caused MAGA to defend him. “He meant criminals” or as Lenny was told by a dude “it was sarcasm”.
So impressed by your IQ level. It's called Sarcasm.
— Hooper (@Hooper012345) September 13, 2025
Well, over the weekend Kilmeade apologized for his comments.
.@kilmeade apologized for his comments about homeless people getting lethal injections this morning on Fox & Friends, saying "so many homeless people deserve our empathy and compassion."

But sure he meant it sarcastically…
