Second Feature: Green Acres: S2 E16 – His Honor
The residents of Hooterville take the contests in their annual county fair very seriously. When Oliver is nominated to the judging committee, he mistakes the honor for a real judgeship. Pleased to accept the position, he proudly informs his mother and goes to visit his old Harvard law professor for advice and guidance on his new position. For her part, Lisa makes sure that Oliver will be appropriately dressed for the part. In preparation, Oliver burns the midnight oil restudying his old law books. But a run-in with the law causes a real local judge to sort things out, and Oliver soon learns that he could have saved himself quite a bit of time and trouble. Not an appeals judge after all, he’s been assigned to judge the county fair’s “apples” contest. At first disappointed and not a little bit embarrassed, Oliver grows pleased with the position after all…and even sets a new standard for fashion among the fair’s adjudicators.
