Second Feature: Green Acres: S2 E17 – It’s So Peaceful In The Country
Back in New York, Lisa visits Oliver’s mother as she recovers from an illness. The doctor advises recovery in a peaceful environment, and much to Mother’s dismay, he thinks Hooterville sounds absolutely idea. Back in town, mishaps are already in play as Mr. Drucker and Mrs. Ziffel interrupt Oliver and Lisa’s party line call as they make plans for Mother’s visit. Of course, Mother’s stay is anything but peaceful, including for Oliver and Lisa, who have to move into the barn. No one manages to get a good night’s rest, especially when Sioux natives show up for their yearly ceremonial dance on the Douglas farm, which is built on the tribe’s ancient burial ground. It turns out the natives have a 99-year annual lease on the property! Things reach a boil when the Chief sends its doctor to cure Mother, and Mr. Haney leads a group of tourists through farm.
