It’s Monday…
President Shitshow’s public schedule for…
He is currently in Israel. His schedule can be found here.
The government is still shut down. The President, never missing a chance to ruin a decent moment, is in Israel doing exactly that. For days I’ve been bookmarking tweets, sketching plans, and watching every one of them turn to ash after another dumb, self-inflicted disaster from our Republican-led government.
I’ve decided I’m covering his speeches tomorrow; they are wild.
Here’s a teaser…
Trump to Israeli Knesset: "I have an idea — Mr President, why don't give him a pardon? Give him a pardon. By the way, that was not in the speech as you probably know, but I happen to like this gentleman right over here and it just seems to make so much sense. Show more =’s Whether we like it or not, this has been one of the greatest wartime presidents. And cigars and champagne — who the hell cares about that?
While meeting with Egypt he wishes out loud that he didn’t have to deal with governors.
Trump on Egypt: "They have very little crime. Because they don't play games. That's why. Like we do in the United States with governors that have no idea what they're doing." pic.twitter.com/at7ceM6fI8

Meanwhile back at the home ranch…
China is using US farmers as “pawns”.
China didn't do this.

Trump did this.
Tariffs that trump placed, hurt the farmers, again.
Just as they did in 2019.
He went on to say that “no kings means no paychecks”.
This talking point is so stupid.

No Kings rallies were scheduled in September prior to the shutdown.
What they are waiting for is R's to meet them half way at least, on ACA subsidies. Open enrollment happens on November 1st.
Sean Duffy famed for his appearances on MTV’s Road Rules cosplaying as Transportation Secretary also attacked the No Kings day protest.
Sean Duffy: "The No Kings protest, Maria, really frustrating. This is part of antifa, paid protesters. It begs the question who's funding it." pic.twitter.com/UJHsMKBzVM

In the same interview he says we might get a south pole moon base.
Sean Duffy: "If we go to the south pole of the moon, we can set up a base. We want to put up fission power. We think we can have longterm stays on the south pole of the moon." pic.twitter.com/3KB1gntDGc

We live in the dumbest of times.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport won’t broadcast a video of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem saying Democrats caused the federal government shutdown.
The airport isn’t showing the video, which Reuters reported began airing at airports across the country Thursday, due to its “political nature,” according to Port of Seattle officials.
“The Port of Seattle will not play the video on its screens at SEA Airport, due to the political nature of the content,” a spokesperson said in an emailed statement. “We continue to urge bipartisan efforts to end the government shutdown and are working to find ways to support federal employees working without pay at SEA during the shutdown.”

Here’s my thing.
I’m terrible at foreign policy reporting. I never know which sources can actually be trusted or which ones are just opinion disguised as news—especially since other countries run their media so differently from ours. That said, while I celebrate the return of the hostages as a genuinely positive step, I worry that overselling it as the end of the war could come back to bite everyone later. This is only phase one. Phase two—the rebuilding and pursuit of lasting peace—has only just begun.
