So this went up yesterday:;

The Text:
Tomorrow’s United States Supreme Court case is, literally, LIFE OR DEATH for our Country. With a Victory, we have tremendous, but fair, Financial and National Security. Without it, we are virtually defenseless against other Countries who have, for years, taken advantage of us. Our Stock Market is consistently hitting Record Highs, and our Country has never been more respected than it is right now. A big part of this is the Economic Security created by Tariffs, and the Deals that we have negotiated because of them. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Today the Supremes are hearing oral arguments on whether a president can use IEEPA to impose blanket tariffs without Congress being involved. Or, put less politely, whether the president gets to just make up taxes because he woke up feeling powerful. President Economics Is A Vibe is already on Truth Social framing this as “LIFE OR DEATH,” which is an interesting level of drama for someone who still appears to believe tariffs are paid by other countries through sheer intimidation energy.
Tariffs are taxes. Full stop. Taxes we pay here, at home. There is no foreign piggy bank.
But sure, let’s pretend the economy becomes a majestic eagle the moment he slaps a 35% tax on washing machines.
So while the Court hears whether the presidency comes with a free “Absolute Ruler Expansion Pack,” he’s out here shouting about record stock markets, respect, and imaginary dealmaking like he’s narrating a trailer for himself. Again.
