“Taxman” is exactly what it sounds like.
A song about taxes.
Specifically, being very annoyed about them.
Written by George Harrison, it came out of the very real frustration of watching a huge chunk of income disappear to taxes in the U.K. at the time.
And instead of quietly complaining… he wrote a song about it.
