It’s Wednesday…

US war against Iran
It’s been 67 days since the US started a war with Iran. In those 67 days, the US government has put Americans and the rest of the world on the most unfunny roller coaster imaginable. Gas prices continue to spike while the Toddler in Charge and his enablers manipulate the markets for their own personal gain.
Yesterday, Wannabe Action Movie Star Pete Hegshit held a presser where he explained that the war project entitled Epic Fury was over. But don’t worry, fans. We’re moving straight into the sequel, Project Freedom.
Wannabe Action Movie Star (the first 58 seconds of his speech):
Well, as you know, President Trump has directed US Central Command to restart the free flow of commerce through the Strait of Hormuz under the umbrella of Project Freedom. To be clear, this operation is separate and distinct from Operation Epic Fury.
Project Freedom is defensive in nature, focused in scope, and temporary in duration with one mission: protecting innocent commercial shipping from Iranian aggression.
American forces won’t need to enter Iranian waters or airspace. It’s not necessary. We’re not looking for a fight. But Iran also cannot be allowed to block innocent countries and their goods from an international waterway.

Toddler in Charge posted via Lies Social that the “blockade will remain in full force and effect” while Project Freedom will be paused for a “short period of time” as the US and Iran continue negotiations.

Nothing says “everything is under control” quite like announcing that the blockade is still on, the military operation is temporarily off, and the final agreement may or may not exist yet. Modern American foreign policy now reads like a group project written entirely through panic-texting.
This morning Axios reported that the Toddlers admin feels they are very close to a deal with Iran.

The big picture: The U.S. expects Iranian responses on several key points in the next 48 hours. Nothing has been agreed yet, but the sources said this was the closest the parties had been to an agreement since the war began.
Axios. 05/06/2026.
- Among other provisions, the deal would involve Iran committing to a moratorium on nuclear enrichment, the U.S. agreeing to lift its sanctions and release billions in frozen Iranian funds, and both sides lifting restrictions around transit through the Strait of Hormuz.
- Many of the terms laid out in the memo would be contingent on a final agreement being reached, leaving the possibility of renewed war or an extended limbo in which the hot war has stopped but nothing is truly resolved.
Shortly after Axios reported the new was the same as the old deal. The Toddler in Charge posted this via Lies Social:

He spoke with Liz Landers for PBS NewsHour shortly after his post was posted.
I spoke with the president this morning for @NewsHour – we mostly discussed Iran. We also talked about gas prices – and the cost of the White House ballroom when Americans are struggling to afford things like gas. The interview is here: https://t.co/hcegrk2RMH

Liz Landers: I just saw your posts on social media about Iran. Do you feel optimistic that the U.S. is closing in on a deal?
President Donald Trump: Yeah, I think so, but I felt that way before with them, so we’ll see what happens, and we’ll– I think we’ll have a very good chance of making a deal again. If we don’t, we’ll go back to our old ways.
Liz Landers: Right. Do you think that– Some of the reporting says that Iran– part of the deal would include that Iran would export its highly enriched uranium, perhaps, to the United States? Is that part of the deal?
President Donald Trump: No, not perhaps. It goes to the United States.
Liz Landers: OK, got it. And that another point in the deal is that Iran would pledge to operate– not to operate their underground facilities. Is that also part of the deal?
President Donald Trump: Correct, yeah.
Liz Landers: OK.
President Donald Trump: They would be operating in for goodwill for a long period of time.
Liz Landers: OK. And also, it says–
President Donald Trump: In other words, we’re getting there.
Liz Landers: You’re getting there. Do you think you might send Mr. Witkoff and Mr. Kushner?
President Donald Trump: Unlikely, I think we can do it here, and maybe for the final meeting, we’ll have a signing someplace.
Liz Landers: OK.
President Donald Trump: [Inaudible]. But unlikely. But it’s getting very close. If they agree, it’s over, and if they don’t agree, we bomb.
Liz Landers: OK. Iranian– it also says Iranian enrichment would– Iranian enrichment freeze would be followed by 3.67 enrichment. Do you know anything about that? Is that part of the deal?
President Donald Trump: No, it’s not part of the deal, no.
Liz Landers: OK.
President Donald Trump: It’s not. That’s very little, by the way. That’s very small.–
Liz Landers: Right.
President Donald Trump: But it’s still not part of the deal.

Military Advisor to the Supreme Leader, Mohsen Rezaei said this on Twitter:
Iran’s powerful armed forces stand ready. What awaits U.S. forces won’t be Normandy or Sicily—it will look more like Tabas and Isfahan. Don’t indulge in illusions.
