On My Last Damn Nerve
As we wait for tonight’s national address on the 2020 election “fraud” that wasn’t, here are a few tweets that landed on my last damn nerve.
I need an ID to go into COSTCO!

We already have to prove our eligibility when we register to vote. Some states require ID at the polling place. Most states, including plenty of fucking red states, use address and signature verification before your ballot is counted.
I know I’m preaching to the choir, but apparently a bunch of so-called grown-ass people have decided to ignore how elections actually work.
I go to my polling place. I give my name and address. They check their voter rolls and hand me my ballot. I fill it out. My ballot is not counted until it’s verified as a lawfully cast ballot. Only then is it counted for the candidates or measures I voted for.

Like with the flyover at Kid Rock’s house, this is feckless. It’s not cute. It’s not patriotic. It’s wasteful. It’s dangerous. Our military personal are not immune to having to follow safety rules.
Morale will only improve when we are long removed from these assholes thinking everything is goddamn game.
But what can you expect from the admin that is obsessed with male genitalia and testosterone levels…

Their defense will be it’s not racist because they showed minorities as patriots. Except you know what is racist? A White House graphic declaring a MAGA hat “patriotic” while a sombrero is somehow unpatriotic.
The fact that it’s our White House posting something this overtly racist while lecturing the rest of us about patriotism is exactly why we can’t have nice things.
I am reminded daily of one of our own Lenny Ghoul’s famous sayings: forced patriotism is fascism.

But it all goes back to the Democrats, who want to continue to attack ICE and tell people to evade them.
Tell people they don’t have to comply. Tell people to resist and tell people ICE isn’t a real law enforcement agency.
You and I talked about this a year and a half ago, Laura. I said if the hateful rhetoric didn’t stop, there would be bloodshed, and I’m saying it right now. There will still be more bloodshed unless they shut their mouth and let ICE enforce the laws that they enacted.
