I’m skipping all things news and politics to focus this open thread on Dolly Parton who passed away yesterday. She was eighty-years old. Her nephew made the announcement.
As you can imagine, tributes from all over have been pouring in to honor the larger-than-life Miss Dolly.
As I was bookmarking, reposting, and liking these posts, one thing stood out: she touched so many lives across generations.
Sharing them all would be impossible.
One thing is clear. While we say, “Goodbye, Dolly,” her music, her films, and her passion for life and humans will live on for generations to come.
Dolly Parton had a way of making everyone feel special, and seen, and welcomed, and as if you were old friends. I will miss her heart and her voice as I am sure millions will.
