Friday's Tidbits

This tidbit comes from my twitter bookmarks...

Puddle sat for an interview with Newsmax and said he could do "big numbers" on Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, and you guessed it "Barack Hussein Obama".

Puddle: And I become good at anti-impeachment. I call it the anti-impeachment movement.

Newsmax dude: Right?

Puddle: But for them to do that is it cheapens our country so much. It's really very terrible.

And, you know, and honestly, I could have done numbers on Hillary Clinton. I could have done numbers on Bill Clinton. I do like Bill Clinton. I could have done numbers on Barack Hussein Obama.

Still could, I still could, I could do big numbers if I wanted to. I've turned down going after Hillary Clinton.

Newsmax dude: What do you mean by big numbers?

Puddle: I'm talking about go after them criminally. Or I could have done something having to do with their reputations destroyed their reputations.

We have a lot of information about Hillary. We have a lot of information about Barack Hussein Obama. We have a lot of information on Sleepy Joe Biden.

I listened a bunch of times. Newsmax YouTube shitty auto transcript helped. 10/15/2026.

Narrator: He was trying to use the phrase "do a number" on someone, but failed.

This tidbit comes from Reuters.

On Thursday, Reuters reported that according to sources the "Order to limit Starshield for Ukraine came from inside White House"

The order to limit a satellite system used by Ukraine for battlefield communications and drone operations came from inside the White House, according to two US officials and a Western official briefed on the matter. The officials said ‌leaders at the Defense Department received a message that the SpaceX Starshield service for the Ukrainian military needed to be slowed.

The officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, did not specify who in the White House made the decision or who was responsible for implementing the order. The Pentagon is the biggest customer of Starshield, which is the military-grade version of the Starlink service.

[snip]

The move to temporarily restrict the vital communications system came as President Donald Trump has pressured Kyiv to stop its attacks on Russian refineries, which he has blamed for the soaring energy prices that are denting his Republican Party's prospects in the November midterm elections.

But experts say that surge in energy costs is mainly the result of the US-Israeli war with Iran, which brought Iranian attacks on energy facilities and has largely shut the vital Strait of Hormuz. In response to a request for comment about the order to limit Starshield, a senior US official said: "No such request was ever made by the president."

Reuters. 10/15/2026.

Elon "Throwing Monday at the midterms" Musk responded to reporting by saying he didn't do that Starshield is owned solely by the US government.

The rest of Musk's tweet says: Starlink is a commercial service owned and controlled by SpaceX. Usage of Starlink is limited to civilian or defensive activities and cannot be used for offensive military action, as doing so would be inappropriate for a commercial company.

Speaking of shields...

Kristi Noem is no longer serving as special envoy to the Shield of the Americas, the State Department announced this week.

The former homeland security secretary was appointed to the position in March after a brief tenure at the department, which was marred in controversy.

“Kristi Noem’s envoy status expired last month and she is no longer in the role,” a State Department spokesperson told The Washington Sun. “She is now a senior advisor to Deputy Secretary Landau and continues to work on the Shield of the Americas portfolio.”

This tidbit comes from Aaron Parnas with the MediasTouch News.

The Trump administration has finalized a rule that will once again allow hunters to lure black and brown bears with human food and shoot them at close range on Alaska’s national preserves. The change reverses a ban that animal welfare groups spent more than a decade defending in court.

The National Park Service rule, scheduled to be published in the Federal Register on Oct. 19, removes all restrictions on “harvesting bears over bait” for every type of hunter. It takes effect 30 days after publication. According to Humane World for Animals, formerly the Humane Society of the United States, the rule gives trophy hunters the legal authority to lure bears with “donuts, bacon grease and other bait,” some of which the group says is toxic to wildlife.

“There is nothing sporting about luring hungry bears with pastries, bacon grease and other human food before shooting them,” said Sara Amundson, president of Humane World Action Fund. “It makes bears lose their natural fear of people, puts visitors at greater risk and ultimately leads to more bears dying. Ignoring that evidence to satisfy a small trophy hunting lobby isn’t wildlife management, it’s cronyism.”

MediasTouch News. 10/16/2026.

The fight over bear baiting has stretched across four administrations:

  • 2015: The Obama administration banned bear baiting on Alaska’s national preserves.
  • 2017: Humane World intervened to defend the ban after Alaska and trophy hunting groups, including Safari Club International, sued.
  • 2020: Trump’s first administration rescinded the ban. Humane World and its allies challenged the rollback in court.
  • 2024: The Biden administration restored the ban.
  • 2025: On his first day back in office, Trump ordered the Interior Department to undo the 2024 rule.
  • 2026: The Park Service proposed the rollback in March and finalized it on Oct. 16.
