Texas Governor Gregg Abbott has issued an emergency declaration for 18 counties for the flood event that started on Oct 7: Bastrop, Burnet, Colorado, Fayette, Hood, Jim Wells, Kerr, Kimble, La Salle, Live Oak, Llano, Mason, McMullen, Nueces, Real, San Patricio, Travis, and Williamson Counties.
ABC’s WFAA-TV published this news report last Tuesday, Oct 16. The Llano River’s rising, rushing flood waters wiped out the Kingsland bridge.
Kerrville, Kerr county, is located just southwest of Fredericksberg, TX.
More rain poured into the Hill County over the weekend. Monday, the city of Austin, which is Travis county, was put on boil water alert.
Monday’s aerial view as waters begin to recede. Unfortunately, 1-2 inches more rain, and in some places possibly 3+ inches, is being predicted for the next 2-3 days.
