Tuesday night President Trump delivered his second State of the Union address.

Prior to his speech President Trump tweeted that he “was looking forward to tonight.”

The 48 percent approval rating comes from Rasmussen Reports Daily Presidential Tracking Poll.

According to the poll 48 percent approve of President Trump’s job, while 51 percent disapprove.

The data collected according to the linked article: Daily tracking results are collected via telephone surveys of 500 likely voters per night and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. To reach those who have abandoned traditional landline telephones, Rasmussen Reports uses an online survey tool to interview randomly selected participants from a demographically diverse panel. The margin of sampling error for the full sample of 1,500 Likely Voters is +/- 2.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

Minutes after he delivered the State of the Union President Trump tweeted the full video of his one hour and twenty-eight minute speech.

For those that do not want to listen to his speech there are a few options available.

So far Wednesday the President has not tweeted, but the first MAGA rally has been announced by The President’s re-election campaign. According to Donald J. Trump.com his first rally for 2019 will be held Monday, February 11th, in El Paso, Texas @ 9 p.m. eastern time, 7 p.m. mountain standard time, and 6 p.m. pacific time.

During last nights State of the Union President Trump said via the linked New York Times transcript:

Trump: The border city of El Paso, Texas, used to have extremely high rates of violent crime — one of the highest in the entire country, and considered one of our nation’s most dangerous cities. Now, immediately upon its building, with a powerful barrier in place, El Paso is one of the safest cities in our country. Simply put, walls work and walls save lives. So let’s work together, compromise, and reach a deal that will truly make America safe.

The Mayor of El Paso responded to President Trump’s comment via Twitter.

El Paso Sheriff Richard Wiles offered a statement rebuking the President’s statement.

Morning Joe tweeted out a picture of the Sheriff’s statement.

This post will be update with added tweets within reason.
