Roseanne Barr is no stranger to controversy, the comedian made headlines when she infamously butchered the Star Spangled Banner at a baseball game.
She again made headlines when her famous sitcom got the reboot treatment on ABC the show that saw huge ratings for a freshman show, and led to the show being immediately picked up for a second season and to President Trump calling and congratulating the actress for huge ratings. Roseanne Conner in that first show called herself a Trump supporter.
She’s again making headlines just a week after her show ended it’s first successful run, when over Monday and Tuesday she issued a series of tweets that ranged from bizarre to racist.
Up first, Chelsea Clinton and George Soros
Chelsea Soros Clinton

soros' goal; the overthrow of us constitutional republic by buying/backing candidates 4 local district attorney races who will ignore US law & favor 'feelings' instead-and call everyone who is alarmed by that 'racist'.

Chelsea Clinton Responds
Good morning Roseanne – my given middle name is Victoria. I imagine George Soros’s nephews are lovely people. I’m just not married to one. I am grateful for the important work @OpenSociety does in the world. Have a great day! https://t.co/mXokiTEwN7

Roseanne fires back

Deadline notes that Roseanne also said, “By the way, George Soros is a nazi who turned in his fellow Jews 2 be murdered in German concentration camps & stole their wealth-were you aware of that? But, we all make mistakes, right Chelsea?”
In a now deleted tweet

ISLAM is not a RACE, lefties. Islam includes EVERY RACE of people.

She later apologizes
I apologize. I am now leaving Twitter.
— Roseanne Barr (@therealroseanne) May 29, 2018
She expands on her apology
I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste.

Wanda Sykes quit the show via twitter
I will not be returning to @RoseanneOnABC.
— Wanda Sykes (@iamwandasykes) May 29, 2018
Sarah Gilbert, who some credit with the shows reboot
Roseanne’s recent comments about Valerie Jarrett, and so much more, are abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show. I am disappointed in her actions to say the least.

This is incredibly sad and difficult for all of us, as we’ve created a show that we believe in, are proud of, and that audiences love— one that is separate and apart from the opinions and words of one cast member.
— sara gilbert (@THEsaragilbert) May 29, 2018
ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey issued a statement via Deadline Hollywood, “Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show.”
This is not the first time Roseanne has made a racially charged statement in 2013 she made a similar comment in regards to Susan Rice, Obama’s National Security Adviser
