Highlights

At the 1:28 Rudy Giuliani says:

He fired Comey because Comey would not among other things say he wasn’t a target of the investigation. He’s entitled to that, Hillary Clinton got that and she he couldn’t get that.

On Tuesday May 9th, 2017, President Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, in a letter obtained via CNN News:

While I greatly appreciate you informing me. on three separate occasions. that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau.

On April 20, 2018 as reported by The News Blender, the Comey Memo’s are leaked to the press, a memo dated March 30, 2017, Comey recalls a phone conversation with President Trump:

reminded that I had told him we weren’t investigating him and. that i had told the Congressional leadership the same thing.

At the 2:43 minute mark Giuliani says:

This is an outrageous miscarriage of justice please consider whether you are a republican or democrat whether you hate President Trump or you love him like we do or like I do.

The two share a laugh.

at the 3:18 minute mark Giuliani gets back on the topic at hand the Mueller probe:

You can’t possible not feel as a citizen of the world that his his negotiations with North Korea are much more significant than this totally garbage investigation.

At the 4:14 minute mark Giuliani talks about what he brings to President Trump’s legal team:

I think I offer what I offer is something unique I’m a lawyer who knows the criminal justice system as well as anybody in America. I’m also a very good friend of Donald Trump and I think I have the respect of Mueller, the FBI, the Justice Department, Jeff Session’s is a former colleague. They know I will not only do what’s right for my client, but what is right for the American People.

They discuss whether or not Mueller and his team can be objective and if they are Giuliani says great if not:

Basically go into litigation over do they have the power to subpoena and I think they lost that power this is a completely tainted investigation.

Hannity asks him to explain his reasons for thinking this is a tainted investigation:

Mueller is selected the day after he is turned down for FBI Director.

NPR on June 9th, 2017, reported that Mueller had met with Justice leaders and White House Officials as a potential replacement to lead the FBI after James Comey was fired, but after the Deputy Attorney General tapped him to lead the Russian Probe his name was removed.

Two days prior to the NPR report President Trump via twitter announced his choice to replace Comey:

Giuliani goes onto say that Rosenstein was there when Mueller was turned down for the job, and the whole investigation seems to revolve around Comey being the core of the investigation and believed over President Trump:

I know James Comey and I know the President sorry Jim you’re a liar a disgraceful liar every FBI agent in America has his head down because of you it would have been good for God if God had kept you out of being the head of the FBI.

Hannity asks Giuliani to explain where Comey lied around the 5:50 minute mark:

He lied about his conversation with McCabe. He knew all of McCabe’s conflicts. McCabe should testify against him. He lied about his conversations with the President.

Guiliani seems to lose focus here, around the 7:00 minute mark and says:

Can I just say one thing. This is our best president in my memory in two years even even my hero Ronald Reagan he straightened the economy out the way President Trump did but he didn’t get this far ahead on foreign policy as fast as President Trump has look at what’s going on with North Korea, I’ve told the President you’re gonna get the Noble Peace Prize and then my proudest moment is when you tell them to shove it.

The interview takes a twist back to Mueller and will President Trump interview with him again subpoena is mentioned by Hannity, Giuliani explains that his legal team needs to stay open-minded, then at the 9:54 mark Giuliani says:

Could we accept a situation they’re telling us basically we believe Comey who is now a pathological liar as opposed to Donald Trump then the answer to that is no.

The twists continue for the next several minutes, Hannity complains about Mueller and Mueller’s team, Andrew Weissman, in particular, while Giuliani tells Hannity he has an open mind about “Bob” but not Comey his mind is closed on Comey stating his is embarrassed he gave Comey his first job all this happens from about the 10 minute mark and goes on until 12 minute mark where Hannity shifts gears again and says:

This has been going on almost a full year and no evidence of Trump/Russia collusion how did we end up from there to Stormy Daniels?

Giuliani answers

because this is I think this is being done behind Mueller’s back in a sense because they come to him with all kinds of

Hannity interrupts

What he doesn’t read a newspaper

Rudy answers

Yeah self-serving statements this has become a witch hunt like the President said and if you look at those questions that are being asked their trap questions a first-year prosecutor would do better than that.

On May 1st, 2018 as reported by The News Blender the New York Times released dozens of questions that would likely be asked by Robert Mueller, the question is where did the questions come from? While so far nobody has owned up to leaking the questions, it appears from all our available sources, that they came from President Trump’s own team.

At the 13:39 minute mark Giuliani veers off course again and says:

I think I’m I think I’m there because I’m his friend.

The next four or five minutes twist and turn, Giuliani making statements about the founding fathers granting immunity to a sitting president from facing criminal charges so they aren’t distracted, to saying our President is about to bring us a Nuclear free North Korea, and I am not going to let my client, my president or my friend skip the negotiations to have a sit down with Mueller to be treated worse than the Clinton’s.

At the 18:12 minute mark Hannity leaps into the Hillary Clinton email scandal warning Giuliani that he was going to be long winded leading up to his question. At the 19:32 minute mark Hannity asks:

Mr. Mayor were laws broken let’s start with Hillary

Giuliani answers

I do not know why the Justice Department is not investigating this.

Late March it is was widely reported that Attorney General Jeff Session’s had quietly appointed Utah’s top prosecutor John Huber to investigation the FBI’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation plus to review the Uranium One deal.

At the 22:07 minute mark Hannity brings up a report that suggests Mueller is now considering Ivanka Trump a target. Hannity brings up resigned communication director Hope Hicks. Hannity laments her having to pay more for lawyers than she was ever paid.

Giuliani answers

Hope Hicks, I wish the American people could get to know her, Hope is one of the nicest human beings you’re ever gonna meet, yes she’s very loyal to Donald Trump but I I think the president would say this she could stand up to him when she had to what they did to her is outrageous.

In mid sentence he brings the interview back around to Ivanka Trump:

Now I think if they do do Ivanka which I doubt they will the whole country will turn on them, they’re going after his daughter.

Hannity brings up the son-in-law, Jared Kushner asking what about him?

Giuliani answers

Jared is a fine man you know that, but men are you know disposable.

At around the 26:00 minute mark Giuliani says that the president isn’t angry with Jeff Sessions he is heart broken by Jeff Sessions. He goes on to add that Sessions and Rosenstein can redeem themselves by ordering the investigation over.

It is at the 29:08 minute mark that Giuliani without help from Hannity brings up Michael Cohen and the payment made to Stormy Daniels for more @ The News Blender, Giuliani adds:

When I heard Cohen’s retainer of $35,000.00 when he was doing no work for the president I said that’s how he’s repaying that’s how he’s repaying it with a little profit and a little margin for paying taxes for Michael.

Hannity try’s just before the end of the interview to walk back the Cohen payment.

The end of the interview just repeats most of what has already been covered.
