President Trump has responded to Omarosa Manigault-Newman via Twitter.
In his first tweet, he calls her wacky, he goes on to say she “begged,” him for a job with tears in her eyes. He tells America that “people in the White House hated her. And he ends his tweet by calling her “vicious,” and “not smart.”
In his second tweet he says she was “nasty to people,” she missed work, meetings. He says that when General John Kelly became his Chief of Staff, he told President Trump that she was, “a loser and nothing but problems,” President Trump says he told Kelly, to “try working it out,” because he adds, “she only said GREAT things about me — until she was fired.
In his third tweet President Trump admits it’s not “presidential,” to “take on a lowlife like Omarosa,” he also states he’d “rather not be doing so,” but because of the “Fake News Media,” he has no choice because they will be, “working overtime to make even Wacky Omarosa look legitimate as possible,” he ends the tweet by writing, “sorry!”
The three tweets come after Omarosa appeared on Meet the Press as reported @ The News Blender, she played the audio tape recording she made the day Kelly fired her allegedly from the Situation Room of the White House. It also comes a few hours after she appeared on the Today show and played another tape, this time she claims the tape is of a phone call she had with President Trump the day after she was fired by Kelly.
The audio played on NBC’s Today show, appears to show President Trump surprised by the former Apprentice stars White House departure:
Trump — “Omarosa? Omarosa what’s going on? I just saw on the news that you’re thinking about leaving? What happened?”
Omarosa — “General Kelly — General Kelly came to me and said that you guys wanted me to leave.”
Trump — “No…I, I, Nobody even told me about it.”
Omarosa — “Wow.”
Trump — “You know they run a big operation, but I didn’t know it. I didn’t know that. G-damn it. I don’t love you leaving at all.”
The context of what happened before this exchange or after was not offered on the tape.
Why It Matters
In twenty-four hours, Omarosa has played two partial recordings of events that have taken place in our White House, another former employee of President Trump, Michael Cohen, also has aired through his attorney Lanny Davis, as was reported @ The News Blender, Davis played a secret recording Cohen made, that appeared to show the two figuring out how to pay for the silence of a woman who claimed a year long affair with President Trump in 2006. These two people by all accounts were loyal to President Trump
The New York Times — Quoting to separate interviews has Cohen saying to Fox News, “I will do anything to protect Mr. Trump.’’ To Vanity Fair he said, “I’m the guy who would take a bullet for the president. I’d never walk away.” Both of these Cohen quotes were said in 2017 according to the linked article.
If two loyal people have recordings of President Trump and his administration, how are we possibly to even guess as to what our foreign government Allies and Enemies alike have on President Trump and his staff?
