At 10 a.m. on Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will question Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford regarding allegations that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted Ford when they were teenagers during the summer of 1982.

In her opening remarks Ford explains via the Washington Post, that she was attending a small gathering when a visibly drunk Kavanaugh along with his friend Mark Judge, pushed her into a bedroom, locked the door behind them, where Kavanaugh proceeded to pin her to the bed, and attempted to remove her clothes, and groped her.

Kavanaugh in his opening remarks via Axios, denies Ford’s allegation as well as denying the other allegations that have been made from two other women, Deborah Ramirez and Julie Swetnick as reported @ The News Blender.

According to the New York Times, each Senator will have five minutes to question both Kavanaugh and Ford, who are appearing separately with Ford testifying first.

The article explains that the Republican Senate Committee members plan to hand over their five minutes to Arizona prosecutor Rachel Mitchell.

Mitchell according to AZ Family.com is a “registered republican and has worked for the,” Maricopa County’s Attorney’s Office, “for twenty-six years.” Currently Mitchell is the “sex crimes bureau chief for MCAO.”

The Democrats have chosen to question Ford themselves.
