It’s Tuesday.
President Trump has tweeted 1 time so far for Tuesday.
As the News Blender reported the House Judiciary Committee held a scheduled hearing without former White House Counsel Don McGahn.
“Our subpoenas are not optional. Mr. McGahn has a legal obligation to be here,” Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler says.

In other news.
Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) is facing backlash from his own party after he explained via tweets on Saturday, that he feels President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct.
Here are my principal conclusions:
— Justin Amash (@justinamash) May 18, 2019
1. Attorney General Barr has deliberately misrepresented Mueller’s report.
2. President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct.
3. Partisanship has eroded our system of checks and balances.
4. Few members of Congress have read the report.
On Monday Amash issued another series of tweets that explains why obstruction of justice does not require an underlying crime.
In fact, obstruction of justice does not require the prosecution of an underlying crime, and there is a logical reason for that. Prosecutors might not charge a crime precisely *because* obstruction of justice denied them timely access to evidence that could lead to a prosecution.
— Justin Amash (@justinamash) May 20, 2019
On Sunday the President took to Twitter to respond to Amash’s Saturday tweets.
Never a fan of @justinamash, a total lightweight who opposes me and some of our great Republican ideas and policies just for the sake of getting his name out there through controversy. If he actually read the biased Mueller Report, “composed” by 18 Angry Dems who hated Trump,….
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 19, 2019
….he would see that it was nevertheless strong on NO COLLUSION and, ultimately, NO OBSTRUCTION…Anyway, how do you Obstruct when there is no crime and, in fact, the crimes were committed by the other side? Justin is a loser who sadly plays right into our opponents hands!

Late Monday night Politico reported that The House Freedom Caucus “condemned one of its founding members for declaring that President Trump committed impeachable offenses, but stopped short of kicking Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) out of the hard-line conservative group.”
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said “that every single member in attendance during a weekly caucus meeting was unified in their opposition toward Amash’s comments.”
After the meeting which Amash did not attend Monday night Jordan said, “It was every single person who totally disagrees with what he says.”
Jordan went on to say that he spoke with Amash on Saturday night and asked, “What are you doing?”
Politico goes on to say, “fellow Freedom Caucus members said his latest comments were “dead wrong”, “shocking” and went too far, even as they simultaneously called Amash a friend and emphasized that he has the right to his own opinion.”
GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel tweeted on Saturday responding to Amash’s tweets.
It’s sad to see Congressman Amash parroting the Democrats’ talking points on Russia.
— Ronna McDaniel (@GOPChairwoman) May 19, 2019
The only people still fixated on the Russia collusion hoax are political foes of @realDonaldTrump hoping to defeat him in 2020 by any desperate means possible.
Voters in Amash’s district strongly support this President, and would rather their Congressman work to support the President’s policies that have brought jobs, increased wages and made life better for Americans.

On Tuesday Amash showed no signs of backing down from his tweets. (h/t to GA Voter- Recovered Republican for posting this tweet in the Night Owl.)
Wow: @justinamash is NOT backing down. He is now talking to a school group on steps of the Capitol about why Trump impeachment proceedings should begin. “Really dangerous for our country” when ppl don’t tell the truth pic.twitter.com/JYhKMtjhuk

District 70 Michigan State Rep. Jim Lower appears to be challenging Amash.
Lower tweeted Saturday.
This cannot go unchallenged! I support @realDonaldTrump, I support West Michigan values, I support our party’s values and I will have a major announcement regarding MI CD3 this week! pic.twitter.com/ooA9xxp6ws
— Jim Lower (@RepJimLower) May 19, 2019
On Monday Lower tweeted.

Prior to tweeting on Tuesday President Trump doubled down on his tweet regarding Amash, saying Amash has “been a loser for a long time.”

On ward to President Trump’s tweet(s).
1. #MAGA
To the great people of Kentucky, please go out and vote for Matt Bevin today. Very important. He has done a fantastic job for you and America! #MAGA
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 21, 2019
The Lexington Herald reported early Tuesday that “Turnout for the primary is predicted to be low. Last week, Grimes estimated that only 12.5 percent of the 3.4 million Kentuckians registered to vote will actually go to the polls.”
They continue to explain, “There are choices on both party ballots for most statewide offices, including governor. Gov. Matt Bevin is facing a challenge from Republican state Rep. Robert Goforth of East Bernstadt and two others running limited campaigns, but Bevin is expected to win.”
2. I am very disappointed…
I am very disappointed that Mexico is doing virtually nothing to stop illegal immigrants from coming to our Southern Border where everyone knows that because of the Democrats, our Immigration Laws are totally flawed & broken…
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 21, 2019
3. I will soon be giving a response!
…Mexico’s attitude is that people from other countries, including Mexico, should have the right to flow into the U.S. & that U.S. taxpayers should be responsible for the tremendous costs associated w/this illegal migration. Mexico is wrong and I will soon be giving a response!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 21, 2019
4. He has my Complete and Total Endorsement!
Pennsylvania – Don’t forget to get out and VOTE TODAY for Republican Fred Keller for Congress. Fred is Strong on Crime, Second Amendment, Military, Vets, and Healthcare. He has my Complete and Total Endorsement!

Trump keeps alternating between:
— Daniel Dale (@ddale8) May 21, 2019
A) Boasting that he has gotten Mexico to apprehend migrants for the first time (Mexico has done apprehensions for many years, though at varying levels)
B) Complaining that Mexico is doing nothing to apprehend migrants pic.twitter.com/DMbnZaZgzw
