Special Counsel Robert Mueller is scheduled to testify two days from now, on July 24th, before two House committees regarding the Russian Election Investigation Report.
As we get ever closer to Mueller’s testimony the President, Donald Trump, has tweeted for Monday, 12 times.
With almost no inflation, our Country is needlessly being forced to pay a MUCH higher interest rate than other countries only because of a very misguided Federal Reserve. In addition, Quantitative Tightening is continuing, making it harder for our Country to compete. As good…..— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 22, 2019
….as we have done, it could have been soooo much better. Interest rate costs should have been much lower, & GDP & our Country’s wealth accumulation much higher. Such a waste of time & money. Also, very unfair that other countries manipulate their currencies and pump money in!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 22, 2019
It is far more costly for the Federal Reserve to cut deeper if the economy actually does, in the future, turn down! Very inexpensive, in fact productive, to move now. The Fed raised & tightened far too much & too fast. In other words, they missed it (Big!). Don’t miss it again!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 22, 2019
This is of course not the first time the President has expanded what the Business Insider reported is an “unprecedented degree of pressure on the independent central bank ahead of its policy meeting next week.”
The Federal Reserve Bank is scheduled to met at the end of July, and they are expected to cut interest rates, but economic experts are split on how large the adjustment will be.
The tweets also come as Treasury Steven Mnuchin warns the government is likely to hit the debt ceiling in September and urged Congressional leadership to reach a deal to raise the debt ceiling prior to Congress adjourning for summer recess.
Mnuchin said last week a deal between Democratic leadership and the Trump administration is “progressing.”
President Trump has spent months taking credit for the “roaring” economy, he has in fact just for July tweeted that the economy was, the “BEST IT HAS EVER BEEN,” said the economy was “the greatest,” bragged that his approval rating is 10 percent or 15 percent higher than 50 percent because the economy is doing “better than EVER before.”
The President along with demanding the Fed lower rates has also called for Quantitative Easing (QE), a program the New York Times explained in April, resulted in, “the Fed buying more than $4 trillion worth of Treasury bonds and mortgage-backed securities as a way to increase the supply of money in the financial system.”
In 2012 via tweet the President called QE “a political favor for” former President Obama as he ran for re-election.
QE3, a political favor for Obama, will cause record inflation on food and fuel. This hits low income families the hardest. Big mistake.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 19, 2012
Bloomberg reported on July 10th, that the President “has grown concerned that the strengthening U.S. dollar is a threat to his economic agenda and has asked aides to cast about for ways to weaken the greenback, according to people familiar with the matter.”
They go on to say that, “The president’s top economic adviser, Larry Kudlow, and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin both oppose any U.S. intervention to weaken the dollar, the people said.”
The questions then become, if the economy is the bestest ever, how come President Trump has had to bailout the farmers, twice? Why is he pressuring the Fed to lower rates and restart a program he was against before he was for? And why on earth would he be interested in weakening the dollar?
The Amazon Washington Post front page story yesterday was total Fake News. They said “Advisors wrote new talking points and handed him reams of opposition research on the four Congresswomen.” Now really, does that sound like me? What advisors, there were no talking points,….— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 22, 2019
….except for those stated by me, & “reams of paper” were never given to me. It is a made up story meant to demean & belittle. The Post had no sources. The facts remain the same, that we have 4 Radical Left Congresswomen who have said very bad things about Israel & our Country!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 22, 2019
On Sunday’s front page of the Washington Post an article entitled, “A Twitter Storm and its Aftermath, appeared, the article under a different title, ‘He always doubles down’: Inside the political crisis caused by Trump’s racist tweets, was posted online on Sunday, they are identical in text.
The identical articles, focus on the three tweets the President issued last Sunday, according to the authors of the article, Michael Scherer, Josh Dawsey, Ashley Parker, and Seung Min Kim, the article is an account of President Trump’s tweets and their aftermath and is based on interviews with “26 White House aides, advisers, lawmakers and others involved in the response — most of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity to share behind-the-scenes details.”
In short according to the article, President Trump tweeted, without consulting anyone, there was push back, President Trump thought he was “interjecting himself into Democratic Party politics in a good way.”
The Republicans and his campaign scrambled, thought they had a handle on the tweets, finally, until during a rally that President Trump held on Wednesday, his supporters chanted “send her back,” which again pushed the tweets back into the spotlight.
Of note the current comment count on the Sunday article, is 12.6K.
For What it’s Worth.
CNN put together a montage of Trump — who now that he's president thinks criticizing America is an unpatriotic thing to do — saying things like, "how stupid are the people of Iowa? How stupid are the people of the country?" pic.twitter.com/iNrUHOXfqu— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) July 22, 2019

The Mainstream Media is out of control. They constantly lie and cheat in order to get their Radical Left Democrat views out their for all to see. It has never been this bad. They have gone bonkers, & no longer care what is right or wrong. This large scale false reporting is sick!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 22, 2019
Fake News Equals the Enemy of the People!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 22, 2019
Ahead of his rally on Wednesday the President told reporters that based on talk and things he heard, Rep. Ilhan Omar(D-MN), married her brother to commit immigration fraud. He says “I don’t about it,” but that there is talk.
Days suggesting Ilhan Omar should go back to Somali, Trump spreads unfounded conspiracy theories about her: "There's a lot of talk about the fact that she was married to her brother. I know nothing about it … I don't know but I'm sure that somebody would be looking at that." pic.twitter.com/XapFKFgEXH— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) July 17, 2019
I’ve seen this rumor morph this week, originally the claim was that Omar married her brother in order to allow him legal status in the U.S., now, the rumor, being pushed via Twitter, is that she was the one that needed to be married in order to gain legal status.
Snopes.com, couldn’t truly say this was “fake news,” however the original claim, “first appeared in 2016 as an anonymous, since-deleted post on SomaliSpot, an online discussion forum geared toward the Somali community.”
There is zero evidence to be found that the rumors are true that she married her brother to achieve legal status for either herself or her brother.
Highly conflicted Robert Mueller should not be given another bite at the apple. In the end it will be bad for him and the phony Democrats in Congress who have done nothing but waste time on this ridiculous Witch Hunt. Result of the Mueller Report, NO COLLUSION, NO OBSTRUCTION!…— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 22, 2019
….But the questions should be asked, why were all of Clinton’s people given immunity, and why were the text messages of Peter S and his lover, Lisa Page, deleted and destroyed right after they left Mueller, and after we requested them(this is Illegal)?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 22, 2019
This according to Trump Twitter Archive is the 32nd tweet in which the President calls Mueller, “conflicted.”
Wednesday’s testimony will be covered in a live thread at the News Blender.
The Report of Iran capturing CIA spies is totally false. Zero truth. Just more lies and propaganda (like their shot down drone) put out by a Religious Regime that is Badly Failing and has no idea what to do. Their Economy is dead, and will get much worse. Iran is a total mess!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 22, 2019
BBC News reports that according to Iran state-run media, they have “arrested 17 spies who it says were working for the CIA, and sentenced some of them to death.”
CNN reports that the seventeen accused spies, are Iranian citizens.
They go on to say that Iran’s Intelligence Ministry, sent a document to CNN, that alleges the seventeen arrested have confessed to being spies for the CIA.
