It’s Wednesday.
President Donald Trump has spent his Hump Day executive time, tweeting 10 times.
“The infestation of bedbugs at The New York Times office” @OANN was perhaps brought in by lightweight journalist Bret Stephens, a Conservative who does anything that his bosses at the paper tell him to do! He is now quitting Twitter after being called a “bedbug.” Tough guy!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 28, 2019
President Trump is really upset that people are calling Doral, his Florida resort, bedbug infested.
As the News Blender reported on Tuesday, in 2017 Doral overnight guest Eric Linder sued the resort for $15,000 for pain and suffering after he woke up covered in bedbug bites.
This was after he was moved to a different room, because a water pipe had busted upstairs from him.
The case was settled out of court, the settlement amount was not disclosed.
On Monday Slate reported that according to an email, the New York Times headquarters had found evidence of bedbugs in, “we discovered evidence of bedbugs in a wellness room (02E4-253) on the second floor, a couch on the third floor and a booth on the fourth floor. These specific areas were then swept by professionals and found to be otherwise clean. In an abundance of caution, the second-floor room has been temporarily closed, the booth has been blocked off and the couch has been removed to be treated and professionally cleaned.”
Side note: Slate is not what I would call a reliable source, however the Washington Post, linked them in a story and I found this, and yes, I’m not even ashamed to say I lol’d.
Do you know which wellness-room-and-couch-loving New York Times staffer is gliding from floor to floor in a Pig Pen–esque cloud of bedbugs, terrorizing booths and colleagues? Have you seen any bedbugs at the Times? Are you a bedbug? Please let us know.
Slate.
On Tuesday night the President sent a tweet highlighting the Washington Post story that included the link to the Slate article.
A made up Radical Left Story about Doral bedbugs, but Bret Stephens is loaded up with them! Been calling me wrong for years, along with the few remaining Never Trumpers – All Losers! https://t.co/KlzzMC40Vt

The story.
Twitter user Dave Karpf, sent this tweet.
The bedbugs are a metaphor. The bedbugs are Bret Stephens. https://t.co/k4qo6QzIBW

The tweet which now has 4,723 re-tweets and 31,237, originally had 9 likes and zero re-tweets when New York Times columnist Bret Stephens complained about the tweet to Dave’s university boss.
This afternoon, I tweeted a brief joke about a well-known NYT op-Ed columnist.
— davekarpf (@davekarpf) August 27, 2019
It got 9 likes and 0 retweets. I did not @ him. He does not follow me.
He just emailed me, cc’ing my university provost. He is deeply offended that I called him a metaphorical bedbug.
Alright fine… here is the email: pic.twitter.com/A4E5I6CoB6

Stephens has deactivated his Twitter account, calling the social media platform a “sewer.”
According to the Washington Post, Stephens is a conservative op-ed writer for the New York Times.

So interesting to read and see all of the free and interesting advice I am getting on China, from people who have tried to handle it before and failed miserably – In fact, they got taken to the cleaners. We are doing very well with China. This has never happened to them before!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 28, 2019
We are doing very well with China.
Farmers don’t think so.
I have spent a lot of time debunking these types of tweets, placing article after article under them that show, we are in fact not doing well with China.
China and the U.S., trade war are costing farmers their farms, costing the consumer more money for everyday items, and manufacturing companies such as John Deere earnings have fallen short, the CEO says, this is a result of farmers not purchasing new equipment in response to the trade war.
We are tracking closely tropical storm Dorian as it heads, as usual, to Puerto Rico. FEMA and all others are ready, and will do a great job. When they do, let them know it, and give them a big Thank You – Not like last time. That includes from the incompetent Mayor of San Juan!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 28, 2019
5 tweets later.
Puerto Rico is one of the most corrupt places on earth. Their political system is broken and their politicians are either Incompetent or Corrupt. Congress approved Billions of Dollars last time, more than anyplace else has ever gotten, and it is sent to Crooked Pols. No good!….
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 28, 2019
….And by the way, I’m the best thing that’s ever happened to Puerto Rico!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 28, 2019
I have struggled with these pair of tweets.
I’m not sure what I can say or fact check about them.
Because honest, this is a pathetic attempt by our sitting President to deflect from his own failings as President, as a person.
As I said in the Owl…if you don’t want to be called a racist, it’s best not to act like a racist.
11 AM UPDATE: Tropical Storm #Dorian is now forecast to become a major hurricane (Cat. 3) as it approaches Florida.

Would be very hard for Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of Britain’s Labour Party, to seek a no-confidence vote against New Prime Minister Boris Johnson, especially in light of the fact that Boris is exactly what the U.K. has been looking for, & will prove to be “a great one!” Love U.K.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 28, 2019
BBC News reported on Wednesday that UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was requesting the Queen “suspend Parliament, in order to start a new parliamentary session.”
Prior to the Queens approving the request to “prorogues,” or suspend Parliament from no earlier than the 9th of September and no later than the 12th, until October 14th, UK lawmakers from both sides expressed outrage, as this suspension will leave less time for lawmakers to debate Brexit that happens on October 31st.
Phillip Hammond senior member of the Conservative Party.
It would be a constitutional outrage if Parliament were prevented from holding the government to account at a time of national crisis. Profoundly undemocratic.

According to BBC News, House of Commons Speaker John Bercow as called the shut down an offense against the democratic process.
Shutting down Parliament would be an offence against the democratic process and the rights of Parliamentarians as the people’s elected representatives

Jeremy Corbyn the Labour Party leader plans to call a vote of confidence at some point.
Just watched @FoxNews heavily promoting the Democrats through their DNC Communications Director, spewing out whatever she wanted with zero pushback by anchor, @SandraSmithFox. Terrible considering that Fox couldn’t even land a debate, the Dems give them NOTHING! @CNN & @MSNBC….
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 28, 2019
….are all in for the Open Border Socialists (or beyond). Fox hires “give Hillary the questions” @donnabrazile, Juan Williams and low ratings Shep Smith. HOPELESS & CLUELESS! They should go all the way LEFT and I will still find a way to Win – That’s what I do, Win. Too Bad!….
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 28, 2019
….I don’t want to Win for myself, I only want to Win for the people. The New @FoxNews is letting millions of GREAT people down! We have to start looking for a new News Outlet. Fox isn’t working for us anymore!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 28, 2019
I don’t want to Win for myself…
Says the man that shortly after he sent this tweet told Puerto Rico “I’m the best thing that’s ever happened,” to them.
It's a "president spends his time critiquing the cable news coverage he's watching" kind of day.

Tile Tony on twitter shared this tweet it was true then it’s true now.

Our Federal Reserve cannot “mentally” keep up with the competition – other countries. At the G-7 in France, all of the other Leaders were giddy about how low their Interest Costs have gone. Germany is actually “getting paid” to borrow money – ZERO INTEREST PLUS! No Clue Fed!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 28, 2019
Says the man that declared “We are doing very well with China,” shortly before he once again attacked the Federal Reserve for not in fact doing enough to hold off the likely recession that is coming to help his re-election.
Consistency thy name is not President Donald Trump.
This post will be updated within reason.
