As the News Blender reported on Wednesday President Trump is scheduled to hold a campaign rally from Monroe, Louisiana.
The candidate that will receive his five minutes of “tell President Trump how great he is,” is businessman Eddie Rispone who is challenging incumbent Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards (D).
This will be President Trump’s 3rd Keep America Great rally since Friday, where he stopped in Mississippi, followed by a campaign rally in Kentucky, on Monday.
It follows just a day after Mississippi and Kentucky held their states elections.
In Mississippi according to the New York Times election results, Tate Reeves (R) Mississippi’s Lt. Governor, beat Attorney General Jim Hood (D). Mississippi’s current Governor Phil Bryant (R), was term limited.
Results:
- Reeves 449,749 52.1 percent.
- Hood 402,080 46.6 percent.
In Kentucky as the News Blender covered here, and here, Matt Bevin the Republican incumbent was defeated by States Attorney Andy Beshear (D).
The New York Times results:
- Beshear 709,846 49.2 percent.
- Bevin 704,760 48.8 percent.
In a surprising move when departing DC for Louisiana the President declined to hold his infamous helicopter presser among awaiting reporters.
