President Donald Trump is expected to hold a press conference on Wednesday regarding the Iran missile strike. The Iran air-strike as the New Blender reported on Tuesday hit two U.S. bases in Iraq.
The Al-Asad airbase and a smaller base northeast of it at Erbil were targeted by the Iranian missiles. The U.S. has issued an initial statement saying there were no casualties, but that they are waiting for daylight before they can provide a full damage assessment. There are conflicting reports from Iraqi officials regarding casualties for military and civilian workers who have been supporting U.S. troops.

The Iran airstrike came just days after a U.S. led airstrike that killed Iranian General Qassem Suleimani/Soleimani, along with several officials from Iraqi militias.
