As the coronavirus continues to keep many states on virus footing the Democratic National Convention has moved to hold their Presidential nomination event mostly virtual.
Day 1’s theme according to Demconvention.com is “We the People.”
The event which is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. eastern time and last until 11 p.m. eastern time on Monday will feature Actress Eva Longoria, the Mayor of Washington, D.C., Muriel Bowser, Governors Andrew Cuomo (NY), and Gretchen Whitmer (MI).
Also speaking on Monday is former Governor of Ohio, former Republican Presidential candidate from 2016, John Kasich and former Democratic Presidential hopeful for both 2016 and 2020, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.
Offering Monday’s keynote remarks is former First Lady Michelle Obama.
