TNB Night Owl – Weird State Laws COLORADO

Let’s take a drive through Colorado and find some more weird state laws! However first, I’d like to thank the news blender crew for picking up my last post. All appendages are attached but PSA: Please wear gloves when you are working with a hedge trimmer, because that’s the only thing that saved her finger(s)!
  • It is illegal to bring your horse or pack mule about the ground floor of any building
  • One may not mutilate a rock in a state park
  • It is unlawful to lend your vacuum cleaner to your neighbor
  • It is illegal to remove furniture tags that say “Do not remove under penalty of law”
  • It is illegal to ride horseback under the influence
  • Throwing missles at cars is illegal
  • It is illegal to let a dandelion grow within Pueblo city limits
  • Boulders may not be rolled onto city property
  • Establishments which sell alcohol must have enough lighting to read text inside them
  • Cats may not run loose without having been fit with a taillight
  • Catapults may not be fired at buildings in Aspen
  • It is legal to challenge a police officer, but only until he or she asks you to stop
  • Residents may not own chickens, but may own up to three turkeys in Louisville
  • It is illegal to permit ones llama to graze on city property
  • Couches may not be placed on outside porches
  • It is permissable to wear a holstered six-gun within city limits, except on Sunday, Election Day, or holidays in Colorado Springs
  • You may not drive a black car on Sundays
  • It is illegal for a man to kiss a woman while she is asleep
  • It is illegal to crash into obstacles on a ski slope
  • No one may keep junk close to someone else

Oh, geez. How I wish I was there to see the time when someone launched a missle into their ex’s car… Also, who had a catapult and why did they decide to launch it into a building?! I’m all for freedom to ingest marijauna as they please, but I’m fairly sure weed plays a big part in these incidents…

And the winner is… *Drumroll*.
Question of the Night: What are your best theories to explain how these laws got put on the books?
